Must Know Vietnam Travel Tips to Danang & Hoi An | Vietnam Series Ep. 1
Vietnam Da Nang and Hoi An Travel Guide and Travel Tips that you must know before you go. This Vietnam Travel Guide is part of my Vietnam series and we start episode 1 with things you need to know before you go to Danang as well as things you need to know before you go to Hoi An Vietnam. Da Nang Beach and the Danang Beach resorts are popular destinations and I will help you navigate through the city and give you my favorite tips and tricks. My Da Nang travel tips are based on what I wish I knew before coming to Da Nang Vietnam as well as Hoi An Vietnam. There are many things to do in Da Nang but I wanted to focus on the differences of each area, what each specific area offers and general things you must know when coming to danang for the first time. In fact, Da nang is the fifth largest city in Vietnam and located central part of the country. IT is locate don the cost of the South China Sea and is one of the most important ports in Vietnam.
There are more seafood restaurants options by the Da Nang beach area, like the ones where you get to pick out the live seafood from tanks or buckets and then staff will weigh it out in front of you. I personally enjoy this process andI think it’s more reasonably priced. So if you’re like me, this beachside may be your best choice
This Da Nang Vietnam Guide is the first episode of my Vietnam series. I will be covering Da Nang Vietnamese Street Food, Luxury Hotel and Beach Resorts, Vietnamese Airlines and much more.

Ho Chi Minh City Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Ho Chi Minh City, on the southern tip of Vietnam, is one of South East Asia’s emerging boom cities. Still affectionately known by many as Saigon, this is Vietnam’s largest city and its economic engine room.
Ho Chi Minh City has an irrepressible soul and an entrepreneurial energy that hums day and night. Despite almost a century of colonialism and brutal conflict, today this city is renowned for its warm hospitality, which even extends to former foes. A youthful enthusiasm flows through this city, just like the stream of scooters, motorbikes and cars that flow endlessly through its chaotic streets.
In Ho Chi Minh City, it feels as though the future has arrived… and yet the past is never far away. Wide boulevards built during the French colonial era are lined with cutting edge skyscrapers, while jasmine scented temples gently rub shoulders with chic rooftop bars
More than 9 million people call Ho Chi Minh City home and the dynamic energy of its streets is part of its charm. The city is divided into a series of numbered districts and District One is where almost all of the city’s main attractions can be found.
As the sun goes down, find yourself a seat at one of Ho Chi Minh City’s famous rooftop bars, a perfect way to soak up the buzz of the city.
Dynamic, chaotic and energizing. Ho Chi Minh city may have burst onto the world stage as a battle zone but today, there is no better destination to plug in to the pulse of 21st century Asia.

Vietnam by the Book - a new 15 day tour by Rusty Compass
I'm heading out on tour again in October 2018 and 2019. Join me on a 15 day journey through the history, culture and unique beauty of Vietnam, using the works of three authors to help us along our way.
Our journey will take us to Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Dien Bien Phu, Sapa, Hue, My Son, Hoi An and Saigon.
Graham Greene’s The Quiet American, Duong Van Mai Elliott’s Sacred Willow and Nguyen Qui Duc’s Where the Ashes Are, tell three different tales of Vietnam’s modern history. The insights of these authors will give context to this unique travel experience. Our shared reading will help to tell the stories of the places we visit. We’ll travel and read beyond these books too.

Pluses:
Everything was beyond our expectations and hopes, this property was so lovely we never left! Room was amazing, service was impeccable, views and ambiance outstanding, food delicious.
Words can not begin to describe what we liked. Basically Everything from the moment you arrive is amazing, from the seamless check in, to the spectacular pools and common areas. You are then transported to your room, which is taken to another level in its size, opulence and features. We have travelled a lot around the world and stayed in a lot of hotels and resorts, but this is definitely one of the best.
The hotel was amazing, one of the best we have ever stayed at. We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa. So many nice amenities including a butler that took care of everything you needed! The town of Hoi An is just 5-10 drive away with beautiful lanterns lit up at night and good restaurants. Shuttles and private transfers to town. Can't say enough good things about this hotel we loved it. Traveled with our 7 year old son. There was enough to do for children and adults. Pools are separate so the adults could keep their peace and quiet.
Minuses:
The only negative is the exorbitant costs they want to charge for food and drinks at the resort. I know it is 5 star etc and you are paying a high price to stay here, but there is no reason to keep on gouging at the level they do. Prices are at least 5-10 times what you pay in Hoi An old town for food and drinks and I can tell you the quality is not 5-10 times better.

BUDDHIST-THEMED AMUSEMENT PARK (Suoi Tien) // Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Going to Suoi Tien, a Buddhist-themed amusement park, turned out to be one of the funnest days on my trip so far! My friend, Simon, and I ventured out to the suburbs of Saigon to soak in all the cheesy sights and sounds of this gigantic and virtually empty fantasy land. We admired the extravagant temples and larger-than-life statues, fed some crocodiles, and scared ourselves silly with animatronic depictions of hell. But best of all, we reverted to children in a very large playground. I cannot stop smiling when I think about that day!
THE COSTS:
-Adult Entrance Fee: 90,000 dong = $4.05 USD
-Adult Combo Pass: 249,000 dong = $11.15 USD
