Some highlights from an alpine hiking trip we did with my girlfriend last August. Hiking in Gastein - Gadaunerer Hochalm - Gasteinertal Salzburg Austria
Today's hiking destination is reached from Angertal valley, where there is a big car park and a bus stop. Via the so-called Wolfstall in the area of the ski slope, a marvellous, though occasionally challenging forest path takes you up to the Gadaunerer Hochalmen. Along this path, you will find a variety of mushrooms and flowers. One special highlight is a white variety of the bearded bluebell. But the alpine flora only becomes really interesting far above the Gadaunerer Hochalmen with some rare varieties of daisy, speedwell and isolated silver thistle. And occasionally, with a bit of luck, you might even sight a white-headed vulture in flight.
Lünersee Voralberg Oostenrijk juni 2018
Aan het einde van het prachtige Brandnertal gaat een kabelbaan naar de Lünersee op 1970 m hoogte. Ook kun je vanuit het onderste kabelbaanstation een wandeling naar boven maken, maar dat is een pittige. Als je boven uit het kabelbaanstation komt kun je het beste linksaf gaan over de stuwdam. Je krijgt dan de pittige klim als eerste en niet op het laatst. De rondwandeling kun je doen in ongeveer 2 uur en is na de klim vrij vlak. Het uitzicht is op alle plaatsen schitterend. In juni lag er op de zuidelijke oever nog veel sneeuw. Een aanrader voor mensen die van bergwandelen houden.
