This quick vlog sums up exactly why I fell in love with Achill Island (and you will too).
There's adventure (we did Stand up PaddleBoarding with Pure Magic Watersports) , stunning natural beauty (Keem bay, Keem Beach, Corrymore Lake), good food (Pure Magic) and Guinness beer (the Annexxe Inn). ;)
Best place to stay is Pure Magic -
Watch it with music and share it with a friend who's heading to Ireland.
Achill Island = Chill Island - yep it is super chill! :D

Moldovian Christmas Holiday in Ireland 2016
Yes we are Moldovians! This is our short Christmas holiday on Achill Island in Ireland. Awesome place to visit and to spend some chill time.
Man of Achill
Someone I met while taping, traveling along the west coast of Ireland in 1985 with my brother. He passed away several years ago. ciaranorodaigh says he's Frank (Mac) Masterson as does noirin09. AnChalbhach says this is Frank McNamara from Cloughmore in Achill.
Achill Island (pronounced /ˈækəl/; Irish: Acaill, Oileán Acla) in County Mayo is the largest island of Ireland, and is situated off the west coast. It has a population of 2,700. Its area is 57 square miles (148 km²). Achill is attached to the mainland by Michael Davitt Bridge, between the villages of Gob an Choire (Achill Sound) and Poll Raithní (Polranny), so it is possible to drive onto the island.(As of May 2008,this bridge is undergoing renovation.A temporary causeway is in place) This is a causeway and swing bridge which allows the passage of small boats. A bridge was first completed here in 1887, and replaced by the current structure in 1949. Other centres of population include the villages of Keel, Dooagh, Dumha Éige (Dooega) and Dugort. The parish's main Gaelic football pitch and two secondary schools are on the mainland at Poll Raithní. Early human settlements are believed to have been established on Achill around 3000 BCE. A paddle dating from this period was found at the crannóg near Dookinella. The island is 87% peat bog. The parish of Achill also includes the Curraun peninsula. The people of Curraun consider themselves Achill people, and most natives of Achill refer to this area as being in Achill. In the summer of 1996, the RNLI decided to station a lifeboat at Kildownet.

Achill Island: St Finian's Well and Labyrinth
Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland. We're not sure where the labyrinth came from. It took planning, time, and effort to finish. It's too complete to be ancient, too well-planned and executed for kids to have done it, and same for an unpaid adult. And yet there is no plaque or marker.
