My European dream has just came to life and on this #KimmeWanders vlog is where our whirlwind of a trip begins — PARIS DAY 1! If, this time last year, you told me that in a years time I would have traveled to Europe for 3 weeks, visited 10 cities and flown solo for the first time, I would have laughed at you. And then probably overthought the idea as well. WHAT IF?
Well, well the stars aligned for me and here I am, craving crepe while at it, talking about dreams coming true.

Paris Travel Vlog: Paris City Tour + Laduree Macaron Mukbang? | Kim Mendoza
Day 2 was all about the classic Paris City Tour, with a little shopping and lots of eating on the side. To summarize, I wore a beret (turista nga ako!), I ate the best macarons in the world, and I people-watched in front of the Eiffel Tower. SARAPPP, this day was good. #KimmeWanders

There is a wide choice of restaurants in Glasgow. Restaurant prices are subject to VAT (value added tax) at 17.5%, but this is always included within the prices given. It is customary for patrons to round up the bill and leave a tip (maximum 10%) as well, if the meal and service have been good.

Price: Expensive
This sophisticated fine dining space is Terence Conran's only UK restaurant outside London. It's in the heart of the city's shopping district and decorated in cool shades, with crisp white linen. Dishes have a French influence and may feature sea bream, monkfish or Scottish beef. There is always a vegetarian choice. The set lunches make it an affordable daytime option, while the six course epicurean menu offers a gourmet experience.

Gamba
Price: Expensive
For some of the best seafood, many people make for Gamba in the city centre, where fresh fish is cooked with flair and imagination. The restaurant is down in a basement but décor is cool and light giving a relaxed atmosphere. Fish such as swordfish and sole are often infused with Asian flavours like ginger and chilli, while puddings are rich and satisfying.

Stravaigin
Price: Moderate
The name means 'roaming' and this Glasgow stalwart in the West End takes good Scottish ingredients, then serves them in surprising and imaginative ways, taking inspiration from around the world. Venison, for example, might be served with wild mushrooms and a raspberry gravy. There is an extensive wine list, with many pudding wines on offer, and a cafe-bar upstairs for those who want to eat in more casual surroundings.

Chow is a Byres Road institution, a Chinese restaurant with refreshingly modern décor (teak benches and clean lines) and fresh-tasting, lively dishes from a menu that comprises old favourites and a few surprises. Booking is advised as the petite dining area gets full extremely quickly.

City Merchant

Situated in the smart Merchant City, where the 'Tobacco Lords' once had their warehouses, this busy restaurant has a relaxed 'pubby' feel with stained glass windows and a wooden bar. The special daytime menu offers good value and is popular with lunching businessmen. The menu includes plenty of steaks and Scottish meats, while seafood is similarly well represented, with choices ranging from fishcakes to mussels.

The Living Room
Price: Cheap
This fashionable bar/restaurant's central location makes it very popular with local business people. There's a sophisticated atmosphere with secluded brown leather booths and soft lights. The menu is varied and includes quick lunch options like club sandwiches, wraps and salads. Main courses vary from pasta dishes to Asian inspired dishes such as crispy duck. There are plenty of vegetarian options.

The Arches
Price: Cheap
There is a cosy, clubby feel to this restaurant which is part of the Arches club/live music venue. The walls are lined with theatrical pictures and the crowd is generally lively. The food is good value, with snacks such as paninis and soups as well as pasta dishes during the day, and filling fajitas, fish and chips and meaty main courses at night. There's also a popular all-day breakfast.

The Chapel of the Templars, the only remains of a Templar Commandery founded in the twelfth century, is located in the Arsenal district in Metz. The Templars settle in the free city of the Holy Roman Empire from 1133. The first donation to the Knights Templar date of 1147, and is linked to the preaching of Bernard of Clairvaux to the second crusade in the city of Metz. It was at the end of the thirteenth century that the Templars moved their headquarters in the southwest of the city, close to the Abbey of St-Pierre-aux-Nonnains. The Knights Templar was dissolved in 1312 and assets are attributed to the Knights of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. Contrary to often repeated idea, Lorraine none of the Temple property, after his death, not passed to the Teutonic. The chapel Templar Metz was built between 1180 and 1220. It is now the only remnant of the Commandery of the Templars. It is the only existing specimen church rotunda in Lorraine. Reminiscent of the Rhenish School of Aachen, or homage to the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, the center plane is typically Templar. The architecture of this building is on the border between the Romanesque, which it retains the thick walls and narrow arched windows and Gothic art, which it adopts on ribbed vaulting. The sculpted keystone shows the dove of the Holy Spirit. The warheads are based on slender columns with carved capitals involved. Some of the capitals are decorated with scrolls to lilies. The chapel has an octagonal central plan and measures 8.30 m in diameter. It has a square choir ends in a small vaulted apse-dome. The choir, vaulted warheads, is lower than the octagonal nave. The thick walls of the seven sides of the octagon are recessed niches with apses shallow, not exposed to the outside. These characteristics remind the rotunda of St. Gereon, the transept of St. Apostles in Cologne, the ambulatory and aisles Heisterbach or the chapel of the Commandery of Laon. Arched bays are open halfway up in each pan walls. Inside, all the walls are covered with murals, partially restored between 1910 and 1913 by the painter Schwarting Hanover, according to the draft Hermann Schaper. The ancient frescos highly degraded, however, remain visibles7. These frescoes date from the first half of the fourteenth century. Outside, two trefoil arches to enfeux, later, occupy a corner of the octagon. In contrast to the choir, the pan outside bears traces of an ancient arched vaulting. This arch indicates the location of a now extinct body building, originally housing a chapter house to embellished painted decoration. In this arcade opens a door, the door lintel carved the cross pattée characteristic of the Templars. During the construction of the citadel of Metz in 1556, the Commandery is destroyed except the chapter house, refectory or the Templars, which is covered with a painted wooden ceiling and which, although qu'ornée frescoes, will be razed in 1904. The chapel escapes destruction. It serves as a store of powder and lead. It is classified historical monuments from the first list of 1840. Following the construction of the military arsenal in 1861, she again escaped demolition thanks to the intervention of Prosper Mérimée, then inspector general of historical monuments. In 1882, restoration works are underway to install a military telegraph station. In 1905, the Army sold the building to the city of Metz10. The chapel underwent several restoration campaigns in 1864, 1908 and 19278. In 1957, the city of Metz rents the chapel at the Ministry of Defence to the needs of the military chaplaincy. On June 9, 1990, it finds the appearance of the original chapel of the Commandery. It now serves as an exhibition hall.
