Ille-aux-Cerf Island known in english as a deer island is a island near east coast of Mauritius in a Flacq district. Nowdays there is no deers on the island but you will find there some of the worlds beautiful beaches. The island also has a 18 holes golf cours.

On y trouve des gens très accueillants et souriants qui vendent plein de produits différents : légumes et fruits frais, eau de coco, alouda, farata et autres briani ainsi que des épices, des vêtements, des bijoux, de la vaisselle ou encore des outils. Une petite balade entre les étals s’impose…

Blue Bay Marine Park
The Blue Bay marine park, situated on the South East coast of Mauritius near Mahebourg, is one of the best places to see the beautiful marine life and to go for snorkeling in Mauritius.
The total area of the Marine Park is 353 hectares; it includes the lagoon and extends about one kilometer seaward from the reef crest.
Once you reach the bay of Blue Bay Marine Park, you will feast your eyes on some of the bluest waters and most breathtaking white sandy beaches you will ever see. When you see the turquoise blue color of the lagoon you will understand where the name comes from. The colors of the sea are incredible and are of variety of many different blues.
At the Marine Park, you can decide to see the underwater world onboard the boat through its glass bottom, or to jump into the water for some swimming and snorkeling.
The Snorkeling at the park is highly recommended as the colorful fauna and flora found at the park is absolutely stunning.
At an average depth of 5.5 meters, with crystal clear water offering great visibility, the snorkeling conditions are ideal. You will have a great view of the reef, fish and of large selection of corals (there are more than 50 different species of corals at the park!).

Parc marin de Blue Bay
Le Parc Marin de Blue Bay, situé sur la côte Sud-est de l'île Maurice, près de Mahébourg, est considéré comme l'un des plus beaux sites pour découvrir les fonds marins mauriciens et aussi pour faire de la plongée en apnée sur l’île Maurice.
Le parc marin couvre une superficie de 353 hectares ; cela inclut le lagon et s’étend à environ 1 kilomètre après la barrière. Le centre d’intérêt demeure la zone riche en coraux et en poissons sur une superficie d’environ un kilomètre carré dans le lagon.
Lorsque vous arriverez à Blue Bay, vous serez ébloui par la vue qui s’offre à vous, une eau bleue exceptionnelle ainsi que d’incroyables plages de sable blanc. La couleur bleue turquoise du lagon explique bien la provenance de son nom. Les couleurs du lagon sont incroyables et offre des nuances infinies de bleus.
Au parc marin, à vous de décider si vous souhaitez rester à bord du bateau et ainsi profiter du magnifique spectacle marin grâce au fond de verre du bateau, ou tout simplement vous jeter à l’eau pour une baignade et/ou de la plongée en apnée.
La plongée en apnée dans le parc est fortement recommandée car la faune et la flore trouvées dans le parc est absolument magnifique.
A une profondeur moyenne de 5,5 mètres avec une eau cristalline offrant une grande visibilité, les conditions sont idéales pour une plongée en apnée. Vous aurez une vue magnifique sur le récif; les poissons et une importante sélection de coraux (il y a plus de 50 espèces différentes de coraux dans le parc!).
One Love Speedboat Tour Mauritius [JONANG FILMS] Episode (6)
Here is Episode (6) of our trip to the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort. In this show we venture out on the One Love speedboat for a full day adventure visiting the wonderful sights around the South East Coast of Mauritius.
Our day tour would be most eventful, we left our mooring spot at marine park on blue bay and after a word or three from our hosts we gently drifted out before powering off to our first destination.
First stop on our journey is Ile aux Aigrettes an islet off the coastline. It functions as a nature reserve and a scientific research station. It is also a popular visitors attraction - both for tourists and for Mauritians.
This small island conserves the world's only remaining piece of Mauritius Dry Coastal Forest - a once plentiful vegetation type. It is now home to a large number of extremely rare or endangered species of plants and animals.
We then got back to the water and headed for The lighthouse island also called Fouquet Island. The old lighthouse dates back centuries.
So much so The Île au Phare site as its known is now classified as an historic monument and is currently undergoing a rebuild program.
The lighthouse has been a privileged witness of the history and colonization of Mauritius. it was around at the time of the famous naval battle of Grand Port, which was the only French Napoleonic naval victory.
The Lighthouse Island is over five hectares in size, take the time to go round and observe. on one side the peaceful waters of the lagoon and on the other the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean.
it was almost time for lunch but we just had time to visit this beautiful hidden waterfall, hidden in the surrounding trees were these little chaps who i recon were also wanting their lunches too!
We pulled into a small bay area where tables and chairs were laid out, a welcome drink then time to tuck into a BBQ meal, nourishment was was required and left us all set up for the rest of the day.
Our final stop on the tour was Île aux Cerfs Island , known in English as the deer island you can find it on the east coast of the Flacq district. This paradise island of Mauritius constitutes around 100 hectares of land. Nowadays there are no more deer on the island, but you will find here some of the worlds most beautiful beaches and as such it is one of the must places to visit when in this part of the world.
Our journey back to the small harbour gave us time to reflect after discovering wild and stunning landscapes, it could just be the adventure you'll be thrilled to be a part of too.
