3. TrümmelbachfälleLauterbrunnen The Trümmelbach Falls in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built 1913, stairs, and illumination. Located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the creek called Trümmelbach alone drains the glacier defiles of Eiger , Mönch , and Jungfrau and carries more than 20,000 tons of boulder detritus per year. Its drainage area is 24 square kilometres , half of it covered by snow and glaciers. The falls carry up to 20,000 litres of water per second. After the hamlet of the same name on the valley floor the Trümmelbach feed into the Weisse Lütschine, which heads north through the valley and the village of Lauterbrunnen further down to join after 7 kilometres its sister river, the Schwarze Lütschine at Zweilütschinen, where the... 6. Staubbach FallLauterbrunnen The Staubbach Fall is a waterfall in Switzerland, located just west above Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Highlands. The waterfall drops 297 metres from a hanging valley that ends in overhanging cliffs above the Weisse Lütschine. The stream, on reaching the verge of the rocky walls of the valley, forms a cascade so high that it is almost lost in spray before it reaches the level of the valley. After rain, and early in the season when fed by the melting snows, the Staubbach Fall is a very striking object. The force of the stream above the fall at such times is sufficient to carry the water clear of the precipice, and the whole mass descends in a condition of liquid dust, between spray and cloud, that sways to-and-fro with the gentlest breeze. In a dry summer, when the supply of water is much r... From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The Rychenbach loses 290 metres of height from the top of the falls to the valley floor of the Haslital. Today, a hydro-electric power company harnesses the flow of the Reichenbach Falls during certain times of year, reducing its flow.In popular literature, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle gave the Grand Reichenbach Fall as the location of the final physical altercation between his hero Sherlock Holmes and his greatest ... TOP 5 PLACES TO VISIT IN SWITZERLAND - TICINO || Zak Longo & Hannah Rathbun
A few months back we were invited to Switzerland by the Swiss Tourism Board @MySwitzerland. They asked us to pick two regions we wanted to visit. After some research we decided that Ticino, Switzerland (The Italian speaking part) would be our first stop!
Here are the Top 5 Places to visit in Ticino, Switzerland. We spent four days exploring Ticino, and it's beautiful lakes, and mountains. We started off in the beautiful town of Lake Lugano. It's like Lake Como's prettier cousin. Then the next day- we headed to Lake Locarno, which was also a beautiful lake, and cool little town. We took the bus from Locarno up the mountain all the way to a small town called Sogno. We enjoyed the mountain view, and a couple bowls of pasta. Then from there- we took the bus back down to Valle Verzasca. This was my favorite part of Ticino by far! Valle Verzasca is a fresh water Alpine river that runs between the mountains. It is a popular spot for people to come and relax, and swim. Highly recommended if you visit Ticino! Then- on our final days we explored the capital of Ticino- a town called Bellinzona which is famous for it's beautiful castles that surround, and overlook the city. We fell in love with Switzerland, and can't wait to show you Zürich next! If you enjoyed this video please leave a LIKE & SUBSCRIBE. Also let us know where we should visit next in the comments!

A weekend in Ticino, Switzerland! Travel vlog: Ascona-Locarno, Bavona Valley and Maggia Valley
This weekend we headed to Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. We camped in Gordevio, which is about 10 km from Locarno. We explored Ascona, Bavona valley (Val Bavona) and Maggia valley (vallemaggia)!
We did four hikes in two days and saw many old but well-preserved villages in the Bavona and Maggia Valley: Aurigeno, Foroglio, Cavergno and Bignasco. The villages are full of amazing stone houses and some still don't have electricity.
The Foroglio waterfall is such a hidden gem. The water is rushing down the 110 meter steep rock face at the foot of Foroglio, a charming 15th century village. The scenery is so spectacular while it is hard to believe it is still kept away from most tourists.
The best part along the hike is that you can jump into the river and have a swim. The water is unbelievable, just like a dream.
For two days, my ears were filled with the sound from the running water during the hike, swim and even sleep at the campsite by the river. It is such a soothing and relaxing time.
I can't wait to go back!
