My goal at this location is to get some nice shots of the red throated diver. It is a well known nature reserve were the red throated diver nests and therefore is protected. How ever one is allowed to use the marked trails to enjoy these beautiful birds at close range without disturbing them.

Waterloo - Mound and Panorama

The Battlefield of Waterloo, one of my childhood playgrounds. The historical panoramas were the XIXth century equivalent of a movie. This one is one of the few still in existence (though there is a new one in Los Angeles) and still as evocative now as it was decades ago. The mound has to be climbed because it's there. There used to be trees growing on it at odd angles here and there, but it seems when it was restored (it's not solid, it's a brick foundation covered in dirt) they had to cut them down.
