Dancing Lights - Aurora Borealis in Door County, Wisconsin 4K Time Lapse
Aurora Borealis - Green lights dancing in the sky for the whole world to see. Night from 9/7 to 9/8, 2017.
I took a day off and drove 4.5 hours north from Chicago to possibly capture Northern Lights. It was a very lucky day since Gills Rock in Door County, Wisconsin is at 45.2902° N latitude. It is as low as Northern Italy - geographically. This unique opportunity to see Aurora was driving me for years and finally paid off with amazing display. One of the most beautiful natural spectacles in this world to witness and photograph.
Equipment used: Canon 5D MK III, Canon 70D, GoPro Hero 4, two Manfrotto tripods. Canon lenses - EF 16-35 f/2.8 and EF 10-22 f/3.5, Rokinon 14 mm f/2.8. Pictures processed in LR Time Lapse, Lightroom 5, and edited in Sony Movie Studio 13.
