Goosnargh is a village and civil parish in the City of Preston district of Lancashire, England. The village lies between Broughton and Longridge, and mostly lies in the civil parish of Whittingham, although the ancient centre lies in the civil parish of Goosnargh. The parish of Goosnargh had a population of 1,204 recorded in the 2001 census, increasing to 1,316 at the 2011 Census.

Day 13 - Prescot to Goosnargh

Pete Shevlin and Clemmie Ludford continue their journey to John O' Groats. Day 13 goes from Prescot to Southport along the Trans Penine Way and then up through Preston, eventually arriving in Goosnargh. This 69 mile journey was mostly windy and although the threat of rain was there, it didn't ever really arrive. The North West was good to us in many ways, including meeting up with our friends Clare and Mike at the end of the day, to have the famous Goosnargh Duck in the local pub.
