Searching for Vancouver Cherry Blossom!! On a Roll # 1
All the Cherry Blossoms in Vancouver make spring time intense - over 40,000 cherry trees across the city. I spent a whole day, mid-season, trying to find the best blossom lined streets and parks! Grab yourself a tea or coffee and come along for a ride! Don't forget to watch in 1080HD. Closed Captions available. ' 5:18 (click to skip to the best parts!)
I feel pretty lucky that I get to be here for it year after year. All varieties of sakura make me beyond happy both in their beauty and smell. I love how fleeting they are and how special that makes them.
This time a year ago I was in the hospital and wasn’t able to enjoy it, so I thought what better way to celebrate than record it (∘❛ั⌔❛ั∘)
It was quite an epic journey requiring a full 10 hours of exploring. I had so much footage I didn’t quite know what to do with myself when it came to editing!! Obviously quite an undertaking for someone who’s new to this, but I’m always trying to push myself to be the best I can. ˎ₍•ʚ•₎ˏ

Cherry Blossom Season Transforms The Streets Of Vancouver
Have you seen the cherry blossoms in Vancouver lately?
Cherry blossoms are so beautiful that the Japanese have a name for sakura appreciation: Hanami
In Japan, cherry blossoms symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming.
In the early 1930s the mayors of both Kobe and Yokohama presented the Park Board with 500 Japanese cherry trees for planting at the Japanese cenotaph in Stanley Park honouring Japanese Canadians who served in WWI. And so, as the impact of cherry tree plantings began to reshape Vancouver’s landscape.
