TRIP TO SALZBURG - AUSTRIA
Salzburg (help·info) (Austro-Bavarian: Såizburg; literally: Salt Castle) is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital city of the federal state of Salzburg.
Salzburg's Old Town (Altstadt) has internationally renowned baroque architecture and one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city is noted for its Alpine setting.
Salzburg was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the mid-20th century, the city was the setting for parts of the American musical and film The Sound of Music, which features famous landmarks in Austria. The musical was a partnership between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.
The capital city of the State of Salzburg (Land Salzburg), the city has three universities. It has a large population of students who add liveliness and energy to the area, and the universities provide culture to the community.
Photos and videos were taken with a Nikon COOLPIX P100, not the newer Nikon COOLPIX P500. But performance and features should be almost identical.

Getreidegasse (also known as Grain Lane) is a busy shopping street in the Old-Town section of Salzburg. The house at no. 9 Getreidegasse is the place where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born and where he lived until the age of 17. Originally called Trabegasse (derived from traben to trot), its name was changed several times before it became the Grain Lane.
The Mirabell Palace (German: Schloss Mirabell) is a historical building in Salzburg, Salzburgerland, Austria.
It was built in the Baroque style, with Italian and French models, by Archbishop Wolf Dietrich Raitenau in 1606. In its geometrically-arranged gardens are mythology-themed statues dating from 1730 and four groups of sculpture (Eneas, Hercules, Paris and Pluton) by the Italian sculptor Ottavio Mosto, from 1690. It is noted for its boxwood layouts.
Salzburg is a tourist favourite, with the number of tourists outnumbering locals by a large margin in peak times. In addition to Mozart's birthplace noted above, other notable places include:

Freilichtmuseum Stübing, Steiermark - Austria HD Travel Channel
The Austrian open-air museum Stuebing in Austria is in a narrow valley 9 miles north of Graz in Styria, Austria. It is one of the 10 largest and most impressive open-air museums in Europe and ranks among the top 5 destinations in Styria.
About a hundred original historic rural buildings from the different provinces of Austria were collected and rebuilt. Besides farms of all styles from all regions, a school, a grocery store, several mills and an armory have been restored.
The original craftsmanship is carried out during days of action. Domestic animals are kept in the summer and let the valley and the farm yards come to life. The buildings in Stübing depict the life of our ancestors, who have lived modestly and perhaps more contentedly.
A visit to the museum is an experience for the whole family. During the year there are always interesting events for young and old take place.
The open-air museum Stuebing is opened from April until October, daily from 9-17 hours. Dogs on a leash are very welcome.

CRAZY AUSTRIA EXPERIENCE! (Salzburg, Hallstatt & Vienna) | #EUnemployed2017
Sorry for the crazy ass editing at the first part! Those Salzburg clips were so long (and kinda boring lmao I sucked [more] - at taking videos - about five months ago wahahahhaa).
------------------------------
We are such weirdos (we're proud & we love it, hahahahaha!)
So we had a good week in Austria! We first went to Salzburg, and then took a day trip to Hallstatt--the salt town, is what it's called, I think? And we got on the wrong train AGAIN going to Hallstatt LMAO.
Anyway, both cities/towns were really awesome, though! Very rich in history and culture. Especially Hallstatt, which was really small, there's a lot of Austrian realness in that small town hahahha (really suck at giving describing stuff, I should work on this more!)
Actually I think the whole of Europe has LOOOOOOOTS of history and culture, or whutevah.. but I think you get what I'm trying to say? I mean, Mozart was born in Salzburg so that's something! And then The Sound of Music was shot in a lot of locations throughout Salzburg---history, arts & culture!!! HAHA
Anyway, Vienna is really beautiful as well!!!! Like... really awesome. I wish we stayed longer! (Now I know... one month isn't enough to explore at least eight countries and tens of cities!) There were beautiful castles, gardens, and museums.. lots of other places we weren't able to check out.
BUT DAMN. Real crazy week in Austria. There's other clips that I couldn't put in here, some of them I lost (lol), some I just shouldn't have filmed, but DAMN. (HAHAHAHA YA FEEL???) Although I feel like you guys would think the title and the video don't match, trust me, they do.. there's just some stuff that you can't put online, YA FEEL? But it was crazy in terms of how many times we got lost, the things we did, encounters we got into and all that crap-a-doo, lmao.
It's been real, Österreich! Will definitely come back--soon, hopefully.

24 Hours In Salzburg
This was the only city in Austrian that we visited in this trip. Contrast with Bonn, Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, showing a beauty of diversity. Salzburg is rich in music. People I met here also gave me a feeling of open-mindedness. I am always obsessed with a city with a river crossing through. That makes it more classic and romantic. Walking along the riverside, watching people from different background, speaking different languages...all smile and enjoy...:)
Salzburg was definitely a place I would like to visit again!:)

Salzburg & Salzkammergut - salt mine
Besides the city of Salzburg there is also the state or province of Salzburg, and to make things even more complicated there is also a region called Salzkammergut. In short, the area around Salzburg is no less impressive than the old city itself.
The days of old can be admired in the Grossgmain museum; but the old customs and trades can still be seen in many other places.
As their names reveal, Salzburg and Salzkammergut have one important characteristic in common - salt. The salt and the accompanying trade left their mark on Salzburg turning it into what it is today: a city with style and a little world fame.
There it is, crystal salt. It was the Celts who, in 500 B.C. started extracting salt in the neighbourhood of Salzburg and Dürnnberg. Using simple bronze and wooden tools, they extracted salt from the mountains and built the first mines and settlements.
They would go 300 metres down to find their precious raw material. Salt was necessary to prepare and preserve food, but also for medical purposes. Health resorts along the Wolfgangsee still bear witness to this.
Salt is no longer extracted here, but the tourist can still travel back through time and breathe the air and atmosphere of those ancient times.
Der Mann im Salz. In 1573 mineworkers discovered the remains of a prehistoric forebear. And in his case the salt had done its preservation job well.
