We also had an amazing time making georgian food and learned how to make georgian bread and churchkela. We also had a wine tour and learned about the different types of georgian wine. I have to say that Georgian wine is HANDS DOWN THE BEST wine I've had in my life! Especially the house wine! DELICIOUS! It was also interesting to learn about the Georgian wine making history!
Tbilisi is amazing, but stepping away from Tbilisi to the outskirts of Georgia is also an amazing experience!
The wine tour included a city tour of Signani. There we also got the chance to see the signani city walls. And while traveling to Kazbegi, we stopped by the Zinvali dam, Ananuri Fort and Gudauri mountain which was COVERED in snow at the moment! We also experienced our very first snow here in Kazbegi. An experience we will never forget in our life! And Rooms, hotels in Kazbegi is SIMPLY MIND BLOWING! We loved Georgia, and we wish to travel to Georgia again soon in summer!

Gudauri & Kazbegi | Day 2 | 'Solo Travel' 2017 | Georgia
My day 2 in #Georgia: from #Tbilisi to #Ananuri, #Gudauri, #Kazbegi and back to Tbilisi
We started our trip from 9:30 hours in the morning from Tbilisi city. We used the Georgian military road - the historic name for the major route through the Caucasus from Georgia to #Russia.
We visited the Ananuri Church (church of the Mother of GOD) - is a castle complex on the #Aragvi #river in Georgia about 45 miles (72 kilometres) from Tbilisi. A #UNESCO #World #Heritage #site built in 13th century as a castle. The castle was the scene of numerous battles and the watch tower gave signal for the monastery for the war time.
We stopped awhile at the waterfall of Gudauri, a drinking water - great for passers to fetch water 'coz it's near the highway. Also we passed by the Gudauri village - a quite place. Next we stopped by the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument or Treaty of Georgievsk Monument.
We changed our car when we went to Kazbegi mountain, roads going to Kazbegi is difficult especially that spring time - wet road. At the mountain and in the Gergeti Trinity church was freaking cold and windy too! I felt like the wind blew me away. :D
We took our lunch at a Georgian-Russian speaking restaurant. They can't understand English. Good thing I was with a Russian in the trip and she order food in behalf of me. Thank you! I ate Kachapuri with egg that cost about 7.00 lari (Gel7.00). From here 16:45 hours we went back to Tbilisi and reached there in the evening. Things to do in Georgia (Tbilisi and Gudauri)
Hi guys! Hope you are all well. Just wanted to share with you my beautiful experience in Georgia.
I went to Tbilisi for a night and spent 3 nights in Gudauri all by myself.This is my first white Christmas and my very first time to see, eat and feel a snow LOL!
Georgia is a beautiful, clean, quiet and peaceful country. Georgians are super amazing people!!
THINGS I DID IN TBILISI FOR 1 NIGHT:
-I stayed in Fabrika hostel (feels like you're in a 3 star hotel)
-City tour -Hop-on, hop-off bus (actually van) tour with a nice tour guide. I actually forgot his name. He was kind enough to take all my photos. This tour is the easiest way to go around and learn their culture and history. You'll be amazed! ...then we went to Churches, Museum and other attractions.
-Coming from the Middle East, I indulge myself in unlimited wine and fresh pork. Most restaurants serves pork and sells wine. I was basically tipsy the whole time :-D
-I would recommend walking around and make friends. There are so many tourists and mostly are expats from the Middle East. I met a fellow Filipina and a Russian lady. We walked around in the evening all the way to Mtatsminda by train.
3 NIGHTS IN GUDAURI:
**Guduari only accepts USD and Euro currency.
The only restaurant that accepts debit/credit card is Mtvrali Alubali - Drunk Cherry.
-I stayed at White Shino hostel.
Very friendly staff. You get what you paid for. Don't expect for a special treatment.
-White Shino is near to Gudauri Ski resort. I walk every morning at 9AM for 20mins going to the ski resort. No complaints because the view is amazing!!!
-I Ski everyday (rented Ski equipment except Ski outfit).
If you don't know how to Ski, I would recommend you book a Ski lesson ahead of time at the Mall of Emirates-Dubai or you can also book a lesson at Gudauri Ski resort (I forgot the cost but I know it wasn't that expensive). The lesson includes Ski gear.
-If you want to go up in the mountains, you need to purchase a ski lift ticket. A ticket is good for a one round trip.
-The Ski resort closes at 5PM.
-The city lights are not good enough in the night time. I would say it's a bit dangerous to walk around in the night because big trucks are passing by to deliver goods to Russia and they only have one lane for each side of the road with a tiny side walk.
-I would recommend bringing cup noodles, coffee sachet, chips and etc from the one and only grocery store at Gudauri small centre where the Gas station is or better yet from Tbilisi.
-Side trip to Kazbegi for 3hrs then came back to Gudauri
-Paragliding (AED 500 ask for discount from Madame -look for her :-D)
-You must try Khinkali -Georgian dumpling
