2. Tan-Tan PlageTan Tan Tan-Tan is a city in Tan-Tan Province in the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun in south-western Morocco. It is a desert town with a population of 73,209. It is the largest city in the province and second largest city in the region after the capital Guelmim. It is located on the banks of the wadi Oued Ben Jelil, which flows into the Draa River 15 km north of the town. The Draa River, at 1,100 km is the longest in Morocco and flows into the Atlantic Ocean soon after the confluence with the wadi. The town also has an airport, Tan Tan Plage Blanche Airport. 3. Khnifiss LagoonTan Tan Khenifiss National Park is a national park in the southwest of Morocco, located near Akhfenir on the Atlantic coast in the region of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra. It was established in 2006. The area of the park is 1,850 square kilometres . The national park was created to protect desert, wetlands, and coastal dunes.The park was first created as a natural reserve in 1960, and in 1980, it was classified as a wetland of international importance. In 1983, the natural reserve was transformed into a Permanent Biological Reserve, and on September 26, 2006, the national park was created.The park is located at the coast of Atlantic Ocean, north of the border with Western Sahara, between the towns of Tan-Tan and Tarfaya . MOUSSEM DE TAN TAN - DESERT MEETING OF THE SAHARA TRIBES
At the invitation of His Majesty King Muhammad VI, I was part of a delegation of 88 American businessmen that met with Moroccan government and Business representatives in a remote location near the city of Tan Tan in the Moroccan desert. The week-long event celebrated Moroccan Tribal History in the presence of 10,000 tribesmen from across the Sahara. Representatives from UNESCO presented honors to the Moroccan State for its perpetuation of its tribal origins. During their stay, the participants lived in desert tents, dined on local delicacies and witnessed Bedouin music, dance, and live desert battle reenactments, on horseback by hundreds of Tuareg warriors. The visitors also attended multiple trade presentations to enhance global relations between the nations.
This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life .
