25 Things to do in Osaka | Japan Travel Guide
In this Japan travel guide, we are sharing 25 things to do in Osaka!
Affectionately known as Japan’s Kitchen, Osaka was the first stop of our trip to Japan and a wonderful place to eat! We dove straight into the local cuisine visiting markets, street food stalls, and restaurants that required ordering from ticket vending machines.
But our trip to Osaka (大阪市) wasn’t all food. In between all the eating, we also managed to visit towering skyscrapers, hidden temples, and retro gaming arcades - all of them complete surprises.
So if you’re curious about what there is to see and do in this city, stick around and let us show you 25 things to do in Osaka, Japan!
Tokyo Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Welcome to Tokyo, the capital of Japan and the epitome of the word “megacity.”
In this vast metropolis, ancient traditions blend with futuristic buildings, and your Tokyo sightseeing will take you to representations of each. Pay your respects at temples set in forested hillsides, then flex your credit card in one of the shopping districts, before sitting down to a five-star meal…all in one day.
Your Tokyo tour begins with the subway and train system, which will take you all over this sprawling city. Tokyo is home to some 35 million people, many of which you’ll meet as its public transit carries you throughout its many neighborhoods. Make a stop in Asakusa, a temple district nestled in leafy trees with skyscrapers towering in the background. There you’ll visit Nakamisi Dori, a street loaded with food vendors and religious charms. Get to know the city a little better in the Harajuku district, home to cutting-edge fashion, a thriving, youth-centered culture, and the famous Yoyogi Park. The park stands out in stern contrast to the rest of the neighborhood; this sprawling, 134-acre green space is where locals slow down after a frenzied week of work and play.
As night falls, make your way to Shinjuku. Many of Tokyo’s premier restaurants and pubs span Shinjuku’s streets, and you can indulge in succulent 5-star meals or sample with fast food from local vendors. Watch a movie, do some karaoke, and linger with fellow travelers and friendly locals alike.
What was your favorite part of Tokyo?

Japan Travel Vlog 1 - First time in Saitama(Japan)
Japan Travel Vlog 1 - First time in Saitama(Japan)
Hello everyone, I always wanted to go Japan and now I'm finally here. I really didn't know what to expect but Japan is actually a pretty cool place to visit. For all the first time travellers that want to go to Japan, make sure you bring a translator(book, or dictionary) because people in Japan never speaks English(except in Tokyo). So communication is the key. Luckily, my dad worked in Japan for a couple of years so he knows how to speak Japanese. In this video, we went to explore Japanese Shopping Center, food and restaurants. You'll enjoy this video if yo like Japanese food and Japanese things. :)

TOKYO CAPSULE HOTEL TOUR IN JAPAN | Male vs Female Experience
Today we're giving you a Tokyo Capsule Hotel Tour! For our last night in Tokyo, we booked 2 pods in a super futuristic capsule hotel in the heart of Koreatown. This capsule hotel is called 9 Hours and it is part of a chain of capsule hotels found across Japan, so if you like the look of it, you can experience it across the country!
Capsule hotels in Japan used to be male only, and today there are some that are female-only, however, we stayed at one that welcomes both men and women. The only thing to note about staying in a capsule hotel is that there are separate floors for men and women, so if you're a couple, you'll be split on different levels.
Tokyo Capsule Hotel Address (Shinjuku North Location):
〒169-0073 Tōkyō-to, Shinjuku-ku,
Hyakuninchō, 1 Chome−4, 百人町1
丁目4−15 ナインアワーズ北新宿ビル 3-8F
Closest Station: Shin-Okubo

TOKYO CAPSULE HOTEL TOUR IN JAPAN | Male vs Female Experience Travel Food Video Transcript:
One of our bucket list items in Japan was to spend a night in a capsule hotel. So before leaving Tokyo we booked a night at 9 hours. A futuristic capsule hotel that pretty much looks like a spaceship. This pod hotel is located by Shin-Okubo station right in the heart of Korea Town and in this video we're going to share the whole experience with you guys.
We are just waiting for the elevator now. The reception is surprisingly on the 8th floor not the first.
The check-in process was simple and straight forward. We were each given a card with a qr code which would act as our key for the duration of our stay.
We checked out the views of our neighborhood and also learned that the capsules for men and women are on separate floors.
This is the part where Sam and I have to go our separate ways. Different floors for men and women. So I'm on the 6th floor and I'm on the 4th.
We'll each take our own camera and show you are own experience. Indeed. And we'll meet back here in a bit.
I went up to the 6th floor to find my locker and store my belongings. All of the lockers have an overnight kit to make each guest stay at the capsule hotel a little more comfortable. A look inside the bag coming up soon.
I also discovered that my suitcase was a little too plump for my locker so some pushing and prodding ensued.
And inside I had this little bag already waiting for me. It looks like we have a towel, some slippers and PJs. It looks like we have slippers with the 9 hours logo. We have a towel.
We've got some pajamas to put on. This is going to be fun.
Oh okay toothpaste. Toothbrush. That is our kit for spending the night at a capsule hotel. Let's actually go check out my capsule. Before going into the dorm with all of the capsules we have to take off our shoes and put on slippers.
The Spaceship.
Even though it was the middle of the afternoon I was ready to explore my pod. First up a little stretch test to see just how much space there is in one of these capsules.
Stretch Test.
Not bad. I definitely didn't feel claustrophobic in there so that is a good start.
It is time for final thoughts on our first and only capsule hotel experience. Yeah.
What did you think? How was your night?
We were sleeping in different areas. I had a great sleep. I went to be about 11 pm woke up at five and I slept continuously.
Overall I would recommend staying in a capsule hotel but I think just for one night. Yes. I don't think you'd want to be in there for multiple nights.
I would agree. I would want to experience it once here in Japan but I don't need to sleep in a capsule for a week or a month. Book a hotel or an apartment or something else.
So yeah that is it for now we'll see you guys in the next video. Bye.

Nara Travel Guide | Bowing Deer + Japanese Street Food Tour Video Transcript:
Today we are going on a day trip. We are leaving Osaka behind and going to Nara (奈良市). The plan is to take a short little train ride. Upon arrival we're going to be visiting some really cool deer. They are very friendly and they bow. And there is also some really neat street food, some cool architecture and parks so we're going to be checking it all out in this Nara Travel Guide.
Travel update. So we made it to Nipponbashi and we found the Kintetsu line so our tickets to Nara are 560 Yen per person. That is one way and they've told us platform 1 will take us straight to Nara (奈良市).
We've been in Nara maybe a grand total of five minutes. I can already tell you I love this place. Mostly because of the bowing deer.
Apparently the deer crackers are called Shika Senbei (鹿せんべい). Deer crackers especially made for deer.
Next is Tōdai-ji (東大寺) which is a wooden temple and at one point this was the largest wooden structure in the whole world. It houses a huge statue of a bronze Buddha for 600 Yen.
This is a fun little snack we found. Deer poop. They sell deer poop. We are enjoying our ice creams sakura and green tea.
We are currently at the Yoshiki-en Garden (吉城園). The mochi men they were just like pounding and chanting with a crowd gathered around. Mochi (もち) is sticky glutinous rice. Stuffed with a red bean paste.
We are having Takoyaki (たこ焼き). These are octopus balls with little bonito flakes with sauce.
When we arrived in Nara we walked passed this shop that had these beautiful boxed sets with sushi wrapped in a persimmon leaf.
Sam is trying the Nara Dorayaki (どら焼き) which is basically a red bean pancake.
That is our day in Nara (奈良市). It was just like a nice combination of nature and deer and temples and great street food. It was just such an awesome trip. If you're staying in Osaka or Kyoto and you're looking for a really cool day trip consider Nara (奈良市) and we hope you guys enjoyed our Nara Travel Guide.

All You Can Eat A5 WAGYU BEEF in Tokyo Japan!
The first time I went to Japan, I got to experience the A5 Kobe steak, and that flavor still sings with me. I knew that it probably wouldn't be possible to find a Kobe all you can eat restaurant in Tokyo, because, with me, they would be out of business in a day. However, I did find an A5 All you can eat Wagyu beef restaurant, can't beat that(:

Yokohama Street Food Tour | Japan's Largest Chinatown!
In this video we take you on a Yokohama street food tour through Japan's largest Chinatown!
Yokohama (横浜) is the second largest city in Japan by population and it's a quick train ride from Tokyo, making it the perfect destination for a day trip. This is a port city that sits on the shores of Tokyo Bay, and while it has lots to offer in terms of attractions and sightseeing, we were drawn here by the food.
The cool thing about eating in Yokohama Chinatown (横浜中華街) is that you get a unique blend of Chinese food and Japanese food, plus you can also choose between street food and restaurants.
To get to Yokohama we took the Toyoko Line from Shibuya Station (渋谷駅). If you get on the express train you should get to Yokohama in 30 minutes, but we accidentally got on the slow train so it ended up taking over an hour - don't make our mistake!
Here's a list of the foods we tried on our visit to Yokohama Chinatown (横浜中華街):
- Steamed Buns (sweet beef with egg and onions) - ¥500
- Shiu Mai (shrimp and pork dumplings) - ¥380
- Sesame Balls (filled with sesame paste) - ¥310
- Egg Tarts - ¥180
- Spicy Ramen Soup - ¥800
- Mapo Tofu with Rice - ¥1200
- Steamed Panda Buns (matcha flavoured) - ¥320
- Bubble Tea - ¥350
Our one piece of advice for visiting this place is to come hungry! If you want to make the most of your very own Yokohama street food tour, you'll need a big appetite because there is so much food to try. We barely scratched the surface.

Yokohama Street Food Tour | Japan's Largest Chinatown! Transcript:
Alright good afternoon guys. It is time for another street food video. Today we're going to be taking you guys to Yokohama (横浜). It is 30 minutes south from Shibuya station (渋谷駅). So yeah a bit of an excursion for food. Yeah, first time leaving Tokyo and we've brought our appetites.
I didn't really explain why we're going to Yokohama but this is basically home to the largest Chinatown (横浜中華街) in all of Japan and also one of the largest Chinatown's in all of Asia. So perfect place for street food. We're going to have a mix of Japanese street food and Chinese street food.
We have made it to Yokohama Chinatown (横浜中華街). It took us a while to get here.
Yokohama street Chinatown (横浜中華街) is a great place for street food but if street food is not your thing you also have a whole bunch of Chinese restaurants to choose from and a lot of them are buffets so you pay a set fee and then you can eat as much as you want so definitely lots of food options here in Yokohama. This has been great so far. I mean we've only eaten at a couple of places and I'm already loving it.
We have now turned down one of the little side streets here in Chinatown (横浜中華街) and what I find really interesting is that it is not just all street food and restaurants. Down the little side streets we're also seeing like Chinese supermarkets. You have like massage parlors focusing on Chinese medicine and reflexology and you've got souvenir shops. I mean places to buy decorations for your home. And it is just so pretty to walk down these side streets as well because you have the red paper lanterns and the lights are starting to come on because it is late in the afternoon.
I hope you enjoyed our little street food tour of Chinatown (横浜中華街) here in Yokohama (横浜). We had a really fun time just eating so much food. It was delicious. Yeah. I'm leaving here stuffed and I don't feel like we spent that much money. No. That was cool. If you're planning to travel to Japan and you're going to be in Tokyo it is super easy to get to Yokohama (横浜). We'll see you guys in the next video. Bye for now.

Visiting a Japanese Cat Cafe in Tokyo, Japan!
In this video we visit a Japanese cat cafe in Tokyo. If you've been following this channel for a while, you've probably noticed a bit of a cat cafe trend - if a city has a cat cafe, we're there!
Of course when we came to Japan, we couldn't resist visiting and seeing how the cat cafes compare to others we've been to. And in case you're counting, we've now been to cat cafes in Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Germany, Ukraine, and even Canada.
For this outing, we decided to visit a cat cafe in Ikebukuro called Cat Cafe MoCHA. They have multiple locations across Tokyo, and while we didn't visit them all, we were wowed by the size of the one in Ikebukuro. It was very spacious and the cats had plenty of space to roam.
The cafe itself had a section for napping, studying, playing board games, playing computer games and just general lounging. It was very quiet inside with soft music playing in the background (hence why we're whispering in this video!), but it was a pretty cool environment and a fun activity for a rainy day in Tokyo.
One of the things you can do at Cat Cafe MoCHA is feed the cats, so we bought some food for them. We were expecting we'd get some kibbles or wet cat food, but it was quite the event; we got given aprons, a mat for the cats to eat on, and even a spoon to feed them one by one. It was a really fun experience - oh, Japan!
If you want to experience a Japanese cat cafe during your visit, here are the details for the one we went to:
Cat Cafe Mocha (Ikebukuro East Exit)
Japan, 〒170-0013 Tokyo,
Toshima, Higashiikebukuro,
