List of cities and towns in Iceland
This is a list of cities and towns in Iceland. Some of Iceland’s larger cities and towns are also self-contained municipalities whose geography and populations are therefore equal. However, most of Iceland’s municipalities, which are semi-autonomous administrative zones, contain several disparate towns or cities, each of whose population contributes to that of its respective municipality.
In addition to Iceland's many independent towns, this article includes cities and towns whose municipalities consist of one, self-contained city of the same name, such as Hafnarfjörður and Akranes. Municipalities that are not also cities or towns, such as Árborg, are not included here, but their constituent towns and cities are. For Árborg, these include the towns of Selfoss, Eyrarbakki, and Stokkseyri.

ICELAND Trip - Day 1 | What To Do and Where to Eat
We landed in Keflavik Airport, Reykjavík and got our rental car. It was a couple of minutes shuttle ride from the airport. Then we started driving. Some of the places we visited on the first day were:

Hallgrimskirkja Church in Reykjavik Iceland
Tour around the Hallgrimskirkja Church in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Hallgrímskirkja (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈhatlkrimsˌcʰɪrca], church of Hallgrímur) is a Lutheran (Church of Iceland) parish church in Reykjavík, Iceland. At 73 metres (244 ft), it is the largest church in Iceland and the sixth tallest architectural structure in Iceland after Longwave radio mast Hellissandur, the radio masts of US Navy at Grindavík, Eiðar longwave transmitter and Smáratorg tower.[1] The church is named after the Icelandic poet and clergyman Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614 to 1674), author of the Passion Hymns.[2]
State Architect Guðjón Samúelsson's design of the church was commissioned in 1937. He is said to have designed it to resemble the basalt lava flows of Iceland's landscape.[3] It took 38 years to build the church. Construction work began in 1945 and ended in 1986, the landmark tower being completed long before the church's actual completion. The crypt beneath the choir was consecrated in 1948, the steeple and wings were completed in 1974,[3] and the nave was consecrated in 1986.[1] Situated in the centre of Reykjavík, it is one of the city's best-known landmarks and is visible throughout the city. It is similar in style to the expressionist architecture of Grundtvig's Church of Copenhagen, Denmark, completed in 1940.
The church houses a large pipe organ by the German organ builder Johannes Klais of Bonn. It has mechanical action, four manuals and pedal, 102 ranks, 72 stops and 5275 pipes.[1] It is 15 metres tall and weighs 25 tons. Its construction was finished in December 1992. It has been recorded by Christopher Herrick in his Organ Fireworks VII CD.
The church is also used as an observation tower. An observer can take a lift up to the viewing deck and view Reykjavík and the surrounding mountains. The statue of explorer Leif Eriksson (c. 970 -- c. 1020) by Alexander Stirling Calder in front of the church predates its construction. It was a gift from the United States in honor of the 1930 Alþingi Millennial Festival, commemorating the 1000th anniversary of Iceland's parliament at Þingvellir in 930 AD.[3]
In 2008, the church underwent a major restoration of the main tower, and was covered in scaffolding. In late 2009, restoration was completed and the scaffolding was removed.

Iceland Day 1 : Blue Lagoon & Reykjavik
Like most travelers to Iceland, Blue Lagoon was our first highlight after our 17 hours long flight from Singapore. Our Blue Lagoon's Comfort package includes Silica Mask, tower and a drink at the Blue Lagoon Bar.
We also had time to drop by Bonus supermarket for to get some food & snacks for our road trip. Don't forget to buy some Bonus carrier bags, only found in Iceland!
In late afternoon we took a walk to Sun Voyager before going back to hotel for a rest as we are heading out to chase the Aurora tonight (watch the next episode).
飞了十七个小时终于抵达冰岛. 取车后就先小猪超市买一些小吃, 然后去藍湖泡了1.5小时. 接着开了约1小时去雷克雅未克check in hotel. 旁晚从酒店步行到維京船骨架，然后走一点雷克雅未克的购物主街Laugavegur回酒店. 晚上我们有去追极光(请看下一集).
