Beautiful Music - Central Australia Mountains: A Light Plane Ride Over A Vast Land
Kintore Aboriginal Community 500kms to Alice Springs. For me, it's part of my working life! Desert Child sung by Warren H Williams! You may like: Huge Freight Train Outa Alice Springs
Yes - we DO have mountains! Tourists rarely see this.
Nayway make sure to check out the music.... Desert Child..... sung by Warren H Williams, John Williamson and Pixie Jenkins (great violin) on Stevenewtube channel watch?v=HMqhgkLMmLE
It's an un-official demo but I love the simple lyrics and way the guys cruise through the song. Warren's an Arrente man from Hermannsburg -- very near to where we were flying. He's a good bloke and deserves lots of hits... in fact check out John and Warren singing It's Raining On The Rock at watch?v=zCMhW92GYUc
Part of this shot over the Larapinta Trail - West Macdonnell National Park. Kintore is a small Pintubi Aboriginal community 500 kms West of Alice Springs, Central Australia. The last few Pintubi left their completely independent desert life style -- in the mid 1980s. Many parts of the Northern Territory of Australia are still really remote.
Alice Springs is the town of Central Australia. It is the second biggest town in the Northern Territory.
It's great flying of the vast desert and those great red mountains. Freedom.
I've kept the video as simple as possible as to try to evoke the sense of awe -- child like awe -- of the vastness and beauty of this country.
Finally I should say..... ngura wiru - ngayulu mukuringanyi pulka mulapa
Our Big Trip - Northern Territory & Western Australia
After four months in southeast asia we landed in Darwin, Australia. We hired a wicked 4WD van (and called it lovelly MACHINA) and visited Litchfield and Kakadu National Park, before we drove west and through the Gibb River Road to Broome. What an awesome journey - full of nice waterholes, gorges and wild animals. After this outback trip we had a short look at Middle Lagoon and Cape Leveque on the Dampier Peninsula, before we headed back east. On the way back we stopped at Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungles), Lake Argyle and in Katherine for the Gorge and the Edith Falls in the Nitmiluk National Park. Time flew in this 3.5 weeks - but have a look by yourself at the best moments on our way!
Alice Springs, Northern Territory
Alice Springs is a diverse and vibrant outback town. Situated on the banks of the Todd River (which only occasionally runs with water) 'Alice' is famous for its colourful characters and relaxed atmosphere. Travellers can enjoy the view from Anzac Hill, browse the Alice Springs Cultural Precinct, learn about the hardships of the pioneers at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station or the Royal Flying Doctor Service, meet rare and endangered wildlife at Alice Springs Desert Park or tee-off on one of the best desert golf courses in the world. A range of quirky events also provide entertainment - cheer at the Imparja Camel Cup, see the hilarious ASSA ABLOY Henley-on-Todd (a 'boat' race on the dry Todd River), or road test one of 3,000 beanies at the Alice Springs Beanie Festival. Alice Springs is a great base from which to explore the surrounding region, with attractions such as the East and West MacDonnell Ranges, the Larapinta Trail, Finke Gorge National Park, Hermannsburg (birthplace of Albert Namatjira), the Simpson and Tanami Deserts and more within easy reach.

112. Uluru Free camp, Northern Territory
Uluru Free camp
## unfortunately Uluru by Sunrise Free camp is now closed.
We have been receiving lots of questions about where we are staying at Uluru and here is a full video of the Free camp.
It's approx 10 kms from the town centre. There's no signs or markings, use WikiCamps and your Maps to guide you to the turnoff.
There are no facilities here but it's only 10 mins to town where you can get water from the Petrol station, gas from the caravan park/ Campground and a Dump Point is also available.
It is outside the National Park and therefore our dog MACKS is with us here.
I have both Telstra and Vodafone coverage.
We have views of Uluru plus you can set up a Camp fire. Please be very careful and responsible with your fire.
The cost is Free.
Our stay was 5 nights from 5th to 10th of May 2017
Sorry I picked the only windy day we've had here to do the video lol. We came for 2 nights, then 3, then decided to stay 4 and now it's 5 nights. Uluru has a mystical aura which you really need to experience.
