On this episode:
After travelling around North West Kyushu with Mark, I return to Fukuoka by myself during Golden Week, a week when several public holidays are lined up in Japan, so people can actually go out and enjoy some well deserved vacation time.
And as I also take my break, I come to Fukuoka to eat! My budget is a bit tight, so I had to choose wisely. And during my overnight stay in Fukuoka, I chose 3 restaurants that I believe you'd like to check out too. A Hawaiian themed breakfast and pancake place, a ramen shop and a sushi restautant. The lines outside on all these places tell how popular they are. Let's eat!

Nos queda día y medio en Japón y vamos a aprovechar para volver a visitar algunas zonas de Tokyo, y de paso hacer unas cuantas compras. Pasaremos por Takeshita Street, Shibuya y Ueno.

After 26 hours of travelling from the UK, we venture out to explore and grab something to eat before much-needed sleep! We took a look at Sumiyoshi Shrine, a small shrine near our hotel, then on to Canal City, a large shopping mall where they have light and fountain shows - including a One Piece anime show. Then we had tempura at Hakata Tempura Takao (branches in other parts of Japan too), which was much better than tempura I've had elsewhere!

HOT NEWS Fukuoka 2017 Best Of Fukuoka Japan Tourism
Fukuoka Japan Tourism. Fukuoka (福岡) is Kyūshū's largest city (and Japan's sixth largest) and still growing. It's made up of two former towns, the Fukuoka castle town on the west bank of the Naka-gawa and Hakata on the east. The two towns merged in 1889 as Fukuoka, though the name Hakata is still widely in use (for instance, it's Fukuoka Airport but Hakata Station).

Day 2 - From Nagasaki drive to Kumamoto -100km / 3 hours drive. We also ride ferry cross the sea to Kumamoto. We arrived in the afternoon and head straight to Kumamoto Castle. Castle was damaged last year due to earthquake, but still great sightseeing and shops around.
Tonight, we will be staying at Dormy Inn Kumamoto (天然温泉六花の湯ドーミーイン熊本). After checked in we go Shimotori Shotengai, Kumamoto (下通町商店街) and PARCO (熊本百貨大樓) for dinner and shipping.
