Town of Apex NC - America'a Favorite Place to Live!
For more details:
Apex, NC
Apex North Carolina was first settled in the 1860s and incorporated in 1873. One of the earliest new towns to develop around the state capital, Raleigh. The name Apex was adopted because the town was the highest point on the Chatham Railroad between Richmond and Jacksonville Florida. The town motto, Apex the Peak of Good Living, not only captures the historical significance but refers to the fact that in places along the town's main street, water which falls on one side of the street flows to the Neuse River and on the other side,it flows to the Cape Fear River.
Apex's downtown district reflects the town's rich historical beginning. It is highlighted by the restored landmark 1914 Apex Union Depot. One of the state’s most intact turn of the century railroad towns with 60 well preserved commercial buildings and homes. Apex features antique and specialty shops, dining that includes an ice cream parlor, a fine dining bistro and more, including the New Hope Railway, offering train rides

Triangle Expressway NC-540 - Holly Springs NC-55 to North Raleigh US-70
Video of our drive north on the Triangle Expressway NC-540 (aka Western Wake Freeway). Taking this road is definitely a nice ride and is a great alternative during rush hour traffic. Just think if you could save 10 minutes on your weekly commute each way. That would be approximately 5,200 minutes (86 hours) (3.6 days) per year. Think of how much stress you could reduce each day by not sitting in traffic. How much is that time and stress worth?
