China Tourism - Ancient Fenghuang town
Ancient Fenghuang, a village in central China, used to be a frontier town, separating the Han civilization from the Miao and Dong minorities. It was an important regional center for trade and cultural exchange.
The riverside setting of the village, with its wooden stilt houses and narrow mysterious back alleys, makes it one of the most attractive places in the region.
These days, it has become a major tourist destination. While some traditions remain, much of the town has been set up to cater for the influx of new visitors, in some ways changing the face of the village beyond recognition.
Either way, Fenghuang provides an interesting glimpse of the many challenges and contrasts that exist in China today.

A Look Around the Beautiful Yellow Dragon Cave in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
Huanglong Cave or, in English, Yellow Dragon Cave is a karst cave situated within the scenic Zhangjiajie region of Hunan province in China. The grounds that surround the cave also make for a great site-seeing trip.
Inside the cave visitors can experience the unique and beautifully illuminated natural structures of the cave set amongst underground waterfalls, rivers and even a lake.
A guided tour through the cave takes around 2 hours and allows visitors to take a boat trip down an underground river. Come join me here to see what this ancient town - FuRong Town - has to offer. This ancient town is located in Yongshun County, Xiangxi Prefecture, Hunan Province, China.
Furong Ancient Town, is a tourist attraction in mountainous northwest Hunan, about halfway between the popular tourist destinations of FengHuang County [凤凰县] and Zhangjiajie [张家界]. FuRong Town is well known for its scenic location, situated on cliffs above a waterfall that falls into the LiShui River.
FuRong town was originally known as WangCun village, but in 1986, it was renamed following the success of the famous film, Hibiscus Town. The Tujia people were the original inhabitants of WanCun, and today FuRong Town consists of a mix of Tujia, Miao and Han Chinese peoples.
