The Trümmelbach Falls in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built 1913, stairs, and illumination. Located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the creek called Trümmelbach alone drains the glacier defiles of Eiger , Mönch , and Jungfrau and carries more than 20,000 tons of boulder detritus per year.Its drainage area is 24 square kilometres , half of it covered by snow and glaciers. The Castles of Bellinzona are a group of fortifications located around the town of Bellinzona, the capital of the Swiss canton of Ticino. Situated on the Alpine foothills, the group is composed of fortified walls and three castles named Castelgrande, Montebello and Sasso Corbaro. Castelgrande is located on a rocky peak overlooking the valley, with a series of walls that protect the old city and connect to Montebello. Sasso Corbaro, the highest of the three castles, is located on an isolated rocky promontory south-east of the other two. The Castles of Bellinzona with their defensive walls have been an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.

The Staubbach Fall is a waterfall in Switzerland, located just west above Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Highlands. The waterfall drops 297 metres from a hanging valley that ends in overhanging cliffs above the Weisse Lütschine.The stream, on reaching the verge of the rocky walls of the valley, forms a cascade so high that it is almost lost in spray before it reaches the level of the valley. After rain, and early in the season when fed by the melting snows, the Staubbach Fall is a very striking object. Locarno is a small city in Switzerland, located on the northern shores of Lago Maggiore (or Lake Maggiore). It lies in the Italian speaking Canton of Ticino. It won't wrong to say that Locarno is a little Italy in Switzerland - a Swiss city with Italian ambience. Often known for sunny and relatively warmer climate, it is very close to the foot of the Alps. Palm and lemon trees line the city's beautiful promenade. The promenade or the lake-front just adds to its mediterranean look.

The city has a charming Old Town with lot of history. The castle of Visconteo, which is at the edge of the Old Town, is one of the masterpieces designed by non other than renaissance genius - Leonardo da Vinci. Castle of Visconteo gives Switzerland its own da Vinci relic.

Not so far from the city center is the holy mountain of Madonna del Sasso. It is considered as one of the most popular pilgrimages in the region. Popular folklore says that Virgin Mary appeared on this site in 15th Century. Walking up to the hill spot is considered auspicious, although the monastery can as well be reached by a classical funicular train.

Locarno is a southern Swiss town and municipality located on the northern shore of Lake Maggiore at its northeastern tip in the canton of Ticino at the southern foot of the Swiss Alps.

It has a population of about 16,000 (proper), and about 56,000 for the agglomeration of the same name including Ascona besides other municipalities.[3]

The town of Locarno is located on the northeastern part of Maggia's delta; across the river lies the town Ascona on the southwestern part of the delta.

The official language of Locarno is Italian.
