Travelling Chile from the north to south and beginning in the Atacama Desert poses a very interesting landscape. Arica was my first destination travelling through Chile and the town is completely dry, brown, and on the coast.
Arica, Chile:
Leaving south the next stop was Iquique, Chile. As you enter Iquique, the road hugs that side of an enormous sand dune and you turn the corner to see Iquique open below you. A city lined with beaches, Iquique is also famous for sand boarding down the gigantic dunes.
Anzota Caves, Arica, Chile:
During my time in Iquique in Chile, I enjoyed some beach time, strolled around the city, visited the Iquique Football Stadium and compiled this small video of the northern Chilean town of Iquique.
