Saona Island Dominican Republic March 2018
Saona Island is the most famous island of the Dominican Republic. Palms, white sand, the Caribbean attract thousands of tourists. It is believed that it was here that Bounty ads were shot, as well as some episodes of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Isla Saona (Saona Island) Dominican Republic | Punta Cana Tours
Saona Island Excursion
Come out and experience one of the Dominican Republic’s most popular excursions, Isla Saona. Saona Island is a small piece of paradise set just off the southeastern tip of the Dominican Republic. Isla Saona is located in the government protected nature reserve of the National Park of the East. The small Caribbean island is well known for its beautiful beaches, and has been used by filmmakers looking for that perfect deserted island look.
Get the action started, by racing out to the island in a speed boat, but not before we stop to swim in the natural swimming pools far off of the Bayahibe coastline, a place where large starfish call home. On Saona Island you can have the full island experience, swim, nap in a hammock, and play a game of beach volleyball. You’ll also enjoy a delicious Dominican lunch, and just take in the island experience.

The trip back to the Dominican Republic mainland is on a slow moving catamaran, where the open bar and Latin music provide the right ingredients for an open sea party!
