Must visit
It is located a little off track from the regular Shillong - Cherrapunji - Mawlynnong - Dawki circuit. I started from Shillong taking Jowai route (rather than the regular Cherrapunji route) so that I can visit this place. The place and the route are really beautiful and worth the effort. It takes around 2 and a half hours from Shillong to reach Krang Suri. On the way, we also stopped at Nartiang Durga Temple which is one of the Shakti peeth.
Krang Suri is not a much developed tourist place and there are only a few kiosks near it serving local food. You have to climb down the stairs (a little steep at some places). Modest entry fee of Rs. 20 per person.
The main waterfall is such a beauty. We went in July, so it was in full flow. During winter time, the flow is lesser and you can see how clean the water is. There is a park around the place and plenty of space to sit around at leisure, although no restaurants near the waterfall (kiosks are at the beginning of the stairs). We had planned a long day ahead so could not spend more than a couple of hours. You could easily spend more time when travelling in a group. No resorts nearby are this place, so you can not stay the night. Dawki is around 1.5 hours from this place.

Shillong, the capital of medhalaya, has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in the northeast india. It is situated at an attitude of 1,520 meters (4,990 feet) above sea level. 1. Shillong Peak :
Shillong Peak, Shillong Overview. At the height of 6449 ft and 1965 m above sea level, this is the highest point of Shillong. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city, the Himalayas, its waterfalls as well as of the Bangladesh plains. A telescope is available for tourists to get a bird's eye view.
2. Umiam Lake :
Umiam Lake is a reservoir located in the hills 15 km to the North of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya, India. It was created by damming the Umiam river in the early 1960s. The principal catchment area of the lake and dam is spread over 220 square km.
3. Elephant Falls :
A popular tourist attraction near Shillong, Elephant falls is a combination of 3 rivers. One of the British officers named it as Elephant falls after they saw a rock which resembled as an elephant. This rock was later destroyed due to earthquake.
4. Mawlynnong village :
Mawlynnong is a village in the East Khasi Hills district of the Meghalaya state in North East India. It is famous for its cleanliness and natural attraction. It comes under the Pynursla community development block and Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituency.
5. Ward's Lake :
Ward's lake is a must-visit place when in this pristine north-eastern city. Also known as Pollock's Lake, this artificial water body is encircled by an extensive lush garden and lies in the middle of the city.

This waterfall is located down the Thlu Amwi waterfall West Jaintia Hill's Meghalaya.
To reach this location: About 200 metres before reaching Thlu Amwi you need to park your vehicle from the main road and walk for around 30-35 minutes straight down the river Amwi to reach the spot.
