Jujur tujuan saya pertama kali menginjakan kaki ke negara Brunei Darussalam dengan cara backpacking adalah karena penasaran bagaimana kehidupan di sebuah negeri yang memiliki beberapa masjid yang megah dan indah dimana negeri tersebut menjalankan syariat islam dan dipimpin oleh seorang Sultan yang begitu dicintai rakyatnya. Alasan pribadi lain tentu saja untuk memenuhi misi melengkapi kunjungan semua negara Asean dimana negara Brunei Darussalam adalah negara di Asean ke 9 yang saya kunjungi kemudian dilengkapi oleh kunjungan ke negara Filipina satu tahun berikutnya. Pada saat itu saya hanya berkunjung selama 2 hari 2 malam yang tentunya masih kurang untuk bisa mengenal lebih jauh negeri yang penuh kedamaian ini.
Beberapa tahun berikutnya saya dapat kesempatan untuk tinggal di negara ini sekitar 10 bulan untuk mengerjakan sebuah proyek IT di beberapa perusahaan di bawah salah satu Kementerian di Brunei Darussalam. Tentunya kesempatan ini saya gunakan untuk mengenal lebih jauh dan menyelam lebih dalam di kehidupan masyarakat Brunei Darussalam yang dikenal sangat ramah dan bersahabat. Melalui pengalaman ini saya ingin berbagi tips dan panduan lengkap untuk kamu yang memiliki impian dan rencana jalan-jalan/ liburan ke Brunei Darussalam ini.
Jadi jika kamu hendak berkunjung ke Brunei Darussalam berikut kami rekomendasikan 4 masjid yang berada di sekitar pusat kota
Dari pengalaman kami jika waktu kamu terbatas hanya memanfaatkan akhir pekan saja untuk weekend getaway selama 2 hari bisa dikatakan cukup untuk menjelajah pusat kota Brunei Darussalam saja yaitu Bandar Seri Begawan. Selama 2 hari kamu dapat mengunjungi ke beberapa masjid yang megah di Brunei diantaranya Masjid Ali Omar Saefuddin, Masjid Jame’ Asr Hassanil Boldiah, Masjid Ash Shaliheen serta Masjid Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah. Di sela-sela kunjungan ke masjid tersebut kamu bisa meluangkan waktu ke Gadong Market, Kampung Ayer, Jembatan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, Museum Brunei, Royal Regalia Museum, Pasar Tamu Kianggeh serta kuliner di Tamu Kianggeh. Jika memang masih ada sedikit waktu bisa pergi juga mampir untuk berfoto di depan Istana Brunei serta ke kawasan Jerudong dimana di kawasan tersebut ada pantai, pasar ikan serta arena bermain yang dikenal dengan nama Jerudong Park.
Apabila kamu hendak ke Taman Nasional Ulu Temborongnya juga maka tambahkan waktu 2 hari karena perjalananya cukup jauh dari pusat kota yaitu dengan perahu speed boat yang dilanjutkan dengan bus kemudian dilanjutkan lagi dengan perahu kayu kecil untuk masuk ke dalam taman nasional Ulu Temburong. Apabila kamu mau overland ke negara Malaysia juga seperti ke Serawak atau Sabah maka minimal luangkan waktu 5 hari. Jika kamu mau mengunjungi keduanya maka minimal luangkan waktu 8 hari untuk bisa ke Serawak Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam dan Sabah Malaysia. Untuk info lengkapnya ditonton sampan habis ya videoya.
