5. Brain Radio
Specifically the development of the department formed the basis of psychotropic and psychotronic technologies, which aroused great enthusiasm among many Russian scientists: Vernadsky, Pavlova, Dzerzhinsky, Kazhinsky. In 1922 Kazhinsky spoke at the All-Russian Congress of the Association of Naturalists, at whose request the scientist received permission to work in the laboratory A.V.Leontovicha who specialized in the study of the physiology of nerve tissue. According to the scientist himself, during the time of research He was able to identify brain waves man who thought hard. Kazhinsky could not boast of conducting similar tests with crazy because neither confirm nor refute the conclusions of the Italian scientist could not.
4. Combat Mole
A real-world, mobile subterrene must work thermally, using very high temperature and immense pressure to melt and push through rock. The front of the machine is equipped with a stationary drill tip which is kept at 1,300–1,700 °F (700–930 °C). The molten rock is pushed around the edges as the vehicle is forced forward, and cools to a glass-like lining of the tunnel. Massive amounts of energy are required to heat the drill head, supplied via nuclear power or electricity. Patents issued in the 1970s indicate that U.S. scientists had planned to use nuclear power to liquefy lithium metal and circulate it to the front of the machine (drill). An onboard nuclear reactor can permit a truly independent subterrene, but cooling the reactor is a difficult problem. The Soviet Union is purported to have built such a battle mole, which operated until its onboard reactor failed.
3.Ape-Man
Ilya Ivanovich Ivanov (Russian: Илья́ Ива́нович Ивано́в, August 1 1870 – March 20, 1932) was a Russian and Soviet biologist who specialized in the field of artificial insemination and the interspecific hybridization of animals. He may have been involved in attempts to create a human-ape hybrid.
2. SURA
The Sura Ionospheric Heating Facility, located near the small town of Vasilsursk about 100 km eastward from Nizhniy Novgorod in Russia, is a laboratory for ionosphere research [1]. Sura is capable of radiating about 190 MW, effective radiated power (ERP) on short waves. This facility is operated by the radiophysical research institute NIRFI in Nizhny Novgorod. The Sura facility was commissioned in 1981. Using this facility, Russian researchers studied the behaviour of the ionosphere and the effect of generation of low-frequency emission on modulation of ionosphere current. In the beginning, the Soviet Defense Department mostly footed the bill. The American HAARP ionospheric heater, whose operation began in 1993, is similar to the Sura facility. Both are rumored to have attempted weaponizing weather control during the Cold War.
1. Ekranoplan
The Lun was powered with eight Kuznetsov NK-87 turbofans, mounted on forward canards, each producing 127.4 kN (28,600 lbf) of thrust. It had a flying boat hull with a large deflecting plate at the bottom to provide a step for takeoff. It had a maximum cruising speed of 340 miles per hour (550 km/h). Equipped for anti-surface warfare, it carried the P-270 Moskit (Mosquito) guided missile. Six missile launchers were mounted in pairs on the dorsal surface of its fuselage with advanced tracking systems mounted in its nose and tail. The only model of this class ever built, the MD-160, entered service with the Black Sea Fleet in 1987. It was retired in the late 1990s and is now sitting unused at a naval station in Kaspiysk. Another version of Lun was planned for use as a mobile field hospital for rapid deployment to any ocean or coastal location. It was named the Spasatel (Rescuer). Work was about 90% done, when the military funding ended, and it was abandoned.
What happened to the Ekranoplan? - The Caspian Sea Monster
What happened to the Ekranoplan, the huge ground effect vehicle the Soviets developed in the cold from the 1960's to the 1980's. This was a part plane, part boat that could fly just above the above the sea surface and carry huge loads of personnel or weapons at high speed.
We look at its development, its inventor and its ultimate demise.

Top 10 Airplane Boneyards In The World
This list discusses Top 10 Most Unbelievable Airplane Junkyards In The World.
10.) Chernobyl graveyard, Ukraine Not many specially equipped Mil Mi-24 helicopters were used after the Chernobyl disaster, but those few stayed right there.
9.) The Museum of Civil Aviation in Ulyanovsk, Russia The Museum of Civil Aviation in Ulyanovsk is technically not a junkyard, but let's be honest, it sure looks like one. Because Russia. Still, they have all sorts of awesome planes, including a Tu-144, which is a bigger Concorde.
8.) Alice Springs Airport, Northern Territory, Australia The place is famous for three things: It will be the first large-scale aircraft boneyard outside the United States. It's also extensively used to launch stratospheric research balloons. The first out of two aircraft suicide attacks in Australian history happened here.
7.) Phoenix Goodyear Airport, Arizona, USA This is where Malév planes went to die. A moment of silence please.
6.) Khodynka Aerodrome, Russia Those cranes meant redevelopment, so most of these planes are gone by now. Still, no better place for a picnic than an airfield near Moscow full of planes like these Sukhoi and Mikoyan-Gurevich war machines.
5.) Roswell International Air Center, New Mexico, USA One word: Tristars.
4.) Kaspiysk, Dagestan, Russia This is a port rather than a boneyard, but it has a Lun-class ekranoplan, and that alone is worth your time. Article preview thumbnail This Caspian Sea Monster Was a Giant Soviet Spruce Goose Soviet engineering is often derided as effective but crude and simplistic, but that's a bum…
3.) Pinal Air Park, Arizona, USA It's a very colorful collection indeed, and its history ain't bad either. drivingmsdaisycrazy: I didn't know they had all the Scaled Composites planes there. But I always love seeing the rows of 747's (still the sexiest commercial plane flying) from I-10 as you drive between Phoenix and Tucson. The history of the place is pretty impressive too. It was built in WWII, but was the CIA's main base of air operations during the Vietnam War. It was the primary facility for Intermountain Airlines, a CIA front company.
2.) Mojave Air & Space Port, California, USA Looking for a place to shoot movies? How about the largest commercial aircraft boneyard in the world?
1.) AMARG, Arizona, USA

Advanced coastal defense missile systems to protect Russia's Caspian Flotilla base
A battalion of the Bal coastal defense missile system has arrived at the base of the Caspian fleet in Dagestan in the North Caucasus, said the Southern Russian District Military Commander Alexander Dvornikov on Friday.
The formation of a separate battalion from the Bal coastal defense missile system in Dagestan has actually been completed, said the commander.
The battalion's main task was to protect the places of placement of Caspian warships and units in the republic in areas vulnerable to amphibious attacks, the commander said firmly.
Also, the actual work has been completed to form a missile brigade in the Astrakhan Region in southern Russia, the commander said.
The Bal coastal defense missile system is armed with the Khon-subsonic low-level anti-ship missile and is capable of destroying enemy land and sea targets at a distance of about 130 km.
The Kh-35 can hit a warship with a displacement of up to 5,000 tons. Full salvo of 32 missile systems can frustrate large naval strike group combat missions, amphibious forces or convoys.
The modernized Kh-35E missile with the ability to reach up to 300 km can be guided by drones.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said in early April 2018 that the Caspian Flotilla would be moved from Astrakhan to Kaspiysk. At the end of June, Russian Navy Commander Vladimir Koroloyov told reporters that the fleet would be moved to a new place of placement gradually when the necessary infrastructure was built. Some of the Caspian fleets have been placed in the Dagestan Republic. The first stage of building infrastructure for the placement of the Kaspian fleet warships will be completed this year.
As reported earlier, on its new base in Dagestan, the Caspian Flotilla will be strengthened with sea infantry regiments, and also with new aircraft and warships, including two missile ships and two small air cushion amphibious attack ships. All work is planned to be completed in the first half of 2020.

Several injured in two bombing attack on Dagestan restaurant
Originally published on January 18, 2014
A bombing attack on a restaurant in the capital of the Russian republic of Dagestan on Friday night left several people injured.
According to reports, a rocket-propelled grenade was launched into the second floor of the Golden Empire restaurant and hotel on Bogatyreva Street in Makhachkala at around after 8 p.m. Police were called to the scene and not long after their arrival, a bomb inside a car parked near the restaurant was detonated.
No one was killed in the twin blasts, though several were injured. Reports vary on the number; CNN reported at least five, while some Russian publications, including KM Online, said many as 16. Most reports indicate that police officers were also injured in the attack.
It is not yet clear who is responsible for the bombing. A police official told CNN that the attack could be related to a dispute between criminal gangs. Bombings in Dagestan are not uncommon, however. The republic, located in the North Caucasus region, has been a center of Islamist insurgent activity since the 1990s.
On just Wednesday, four militants and three security force members were killed in a shootout in the republic and about two weeks before that, one person died and two were injured in a roadside bombing.
The Olympic Committee has expressed its concern about the violence in the region, as Sochi, the site of this year's Winter Olympics, sits 300 miles east of Dagestan. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that the government will do 'everything possible' to make ensure safety during the games.

In 1987, the first 350-ton Ground Effect Vehicle (GEV) from the series of Soviet battle missile carriers was produced. The massive “ship” was called Lun (also called Project 903), after the Russian name for a bird of prey, harrier.
The Lun-class ekranoplan (NATO reportedly named Duck) was designed by Rostislav Evgenievich Alexeyev. It was used by the Soviet and Russian navies from 1987 until the late 1990s. A second Lun-class battle aircraft (named the Spasatel or “Rescuer”) was to be produced, but due to the end of Cold War and partial disarmament, the project was changed to a rescue aircraft/mobile field hospital for rapid deployment to any coastal or ocean location. It was about 90% done when the military funding ended and the second Lun ekranoplan was never completed.
The MD-160, the only model of the Lun-class ever built now sits unused at a naval station in Kaspiysk. The Russian Defense Ministry has no plans to revive the project.
