Dream Islands Galite - Tunisia 2014

WELCOME to TUNISIA - EXPLORING KAIROUAN MOSQUE and SBEITLA ROMAN RUINS (travel vlog)

We are in Tunisia to explore two of the major architectural monuments, the Great Mosque of Kairouan and the Roman Ruins of Sbeitla.

Our first stop is Kairouan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and important pilgrimage destination. In fact, it is the 4th most holy destination in the Muslim faith for its architectural masterpiece, the Great Mosque of Kairouan which dates back to 670 AD, making it one of the oldest mosques. The walled medina is also famous for being the filming location of the 1981 film Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Next we visit a carpet shop where we explore the Berber and Tunisian carpets, a hand-made traditional craft in Tunisia.

Sbeitla (aka Sufetula and in Arabic سبيطلة‎ ) is a city in north-central Tunisia where we find the best preserved Roman forum temples in Northern Africa. It was the entry point of the Muslim conquest of North Africa. The archeological site is massive and we explore the forum, baths, and theater.

Les lles Cani, Bizerte | Le dernier Paradis de la Tunisie

Les Iles Cani (جزر الكلاب) est peut être le dernier paradis de la Tunisie. C’est vrai que vous n’en avez presque jamais entendu ?
Vous ne pouviez pas. L’endroit ne figure pas dans les guides de voyages, il n’est pas médiatisé et il est bien camouflé. Ce qui a fait que les Iles Cani soient gardées loin de ceux qui ne se rendent pas sur place avec une carte. C’est loin et c'est « in the middle of nowhere ».
Toute au long de la traversée, les dauphins nous ouvrent la voie avec leurs sauts dans la Méditerranée turquoise. Oui! il mérite supporter le long chemin pour voir l’un des plus beaux endroits de la Tunisie.
Le chemin est fascinant : soleil africain, mer bleue turquoise, mouettes en survol et goélands sur l’eau. Lorsqu’on voit de loin le morceau de terre, commence un autre épisode.
