Kosrae , formerly known as Kusaie or Strong's Island, is an island in Federated States of Micronesia. The State of Kosrae is one of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia, and includes the main island of Kosrae and a few nearby islands and islets, the most significant of which is inhabited Lelu Island. Kosrae's land area is 110 square kilometres , sustaining 6,600 people. Tofol is the state capital. Mt. Finkol is the highest point at 634 metres .

FSM - Pohnpei - Around Island Attractions

If there is a road going around the whole island, how could you resist driving on it to discover the attractions the island offers? We toured the island clockwise and visited the many small attractions available. Some sites like Nan Madol and long hikes are best done on different days otherwise you won't have time to finish the circumnavigation in one day! We included the town of Kolonia at the beginning and the end of this island tour but you can also do these sightseeings on a different day.
Contact the Pohnpei Visitors Bureau to get maps and other details of what to see around the island. look on this channel for videos about specific attractions. Filmed in April 2012.

For 9 Month I volunteered in Pohnpei. At my Freetime I had the opportunity to get to know the culture and make some amazing friendships. I learned much about fishing, ate exotic food and tried to understand the culture. I'm thankfull to my Family and friends at home, that supported me. Also I can't thank my micronesians friends enough, for beeing absolutly hospitable.
