HIDDEN FROM TOURISTS | CHEAP STREET FOOD ONLY LOCALS KNOW ABOUT | Ratchathewi, Bangkok, Thailand
This street in Ratchathewi is hidden from tourist and has the cheapest street food only locals know about.
I discovered this place when I went to eat at P'Aor's famous tom yum soup. This hidden street caters to the locals, which is why it's so cheap.
It has many types of street food all lined up on both sides of the street. So don't be afraid that you won't be able to find something to your liking.
This street is a bit hidden from tourists but not too far from the main tourist spots of Pratunam. You can walk from Pratunam/Platinum Fashion Mall to Ratchathewi or you can take a motorbike, tuk tuk or a taxi.
Walking from Pratunam/Platinum Fashion Mall will take you approx. 25-30 mins to walk there.
You definitely won't be disappointed if you decide to venture there.
Hidden from tourists, but has cheap street food only locals know about.

Petchaburi Soi 5 (เพชรบุรี ซอย 5) has long been one of my go-to street food streets in Bangkok. Starting in the evening at around 4 pm, the entire road starts to fill with street food carts selling all sorts of Thai dishes. You’ll find everything from rice and curry to soup noodles, snacks, and fresh fruits and vegetables. It had been a few years since I had explore Petchaburi Soi 5 (เพชรบุรี ซอย 5), so in this Thai street food tour I’m taking you with me to some of my old favorites, and some new spots. Enjoy!
Yam mama (ยำมาม่า) - 50 THB ($1.52) - This is the first dish I tried. MAMA are Thai instant noodles and this is a completely different way to eat them - in mixed salad form.
Khanom krok (ขนมครก) - 30 THB ($0.92) - Coconut griddle cakes are one of my favorites, they are crunchy on the outside and gooey in the center. Don’t miss this Thai street food snack.
Cha yen (ชาเย็น) - 25 THB ($0.76) per cup - Thai tea
Pad thai (ผัดไทย), Hoy tod (หอยทอด) - This was formerly a street food cart that now has their own permanent shophouse location. They make pretty decent Pad Thai and they hoy tod, which in this case in a mussels omelet, is pretty good as well.
Total price - 125 THB ($3.81)
Nam prik pla too (น้ำพริกปลาทู) - For something a little healthier, I’m a huge fan of nam pirk pla too, a pounded chili mackerel sauce that’s eaten with vegetables.
Total price - 70 THB ($2.14) for everything
Chao guay (เฉาก๋วย) - 25 THB ($0.76) - For dessert, I had grass jelly with ice. The owner was so friendly and happy.
Haircut - 100 THB ($3.05)
Pad kra prao moo krob kai dao (ผัดกระเพราหมูกรอบไข่ดาว) - Final meal of this Bangkok street food tour, I headed across the street to Petchaburi Soi 10 to seek out one of my old time favorites. The stall was still there, and they make a pretty good plate of Thai crispy pork belly fried with basil.
Price - 40 THB ($1.22)
Thank you for joining me on this Thai street food tour of Petchaburi Soi 5 (เพชรบุรี ซอย 5). It’s the type of street you can walk through and just choose whatever you like to eat.

KHAO KRADONG VOLCANO FOREST PARK BURIRAM
KHAO KRADONG VOLCANO FOREST PARK BURIRAM. Today we are visiting the KHAO KRADONG VOLCANO FOREST PARK, include the temple on top in BURIRAM.
Only six kilometres from the city, this extinct volcano that rises 265 meters high, was previously known as Khmer Phanom Kradong, meaning turtle shell because of its half-moon shape. The surrounding forest is home to squirrels, wild rabbits, various bird species and indigenous plants and trees like the Devil Yoni Tree found only in volcanic areas. Visitors can either drive up the massif or walk up the 297 Naga raj steps, which have Buddha statues in various poses along the way. The pool halfway at the top is said to be the mouth of the volcano and features a suspension bridge across it, while the lava rocks are proof of volcanic activity at one time. The top offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside and is also home to a large Buddha image, Phra Suphattharabophit, considered to be the symbol of Buri Ram. The ancient stupa houses a replica of the Buddha’s footprint. A nice outing for families, couples, or a group of friends.

Ranong Thailand: Three-of-A-Kind Beach.avi
Ranong Thailand: Three-of-A-Kind Beach. Beautiful Stones And Clear Water Everywhere on The Beach. Smiles And Greetings From People Here. Do not forget BANG BEN BEACH Wasana Resort 46 km. south of Ranong town ,the largest beach of RANONG PROVINCE....
Ranong (Thai ระนอง) is one of Thailand's southern provinces (changwat), located on the west coast along the Andaman Sea. It has the fewest inhabitants of any Thai provinces. Neighboring Ranong are (clockwise) Chumphon, Surat Thani and Phang Nga. To the west, it borders Kawthaung, Tanintharyi, Myanmar.
Sights
Hat Bang Ben (หาดบางเบน) is a long and vast sandy beach shaded by pine trees where the national park headquarters is located.
Hat Laem Son (หาดแหลมสน) is a white sandy beach approximately 4 kilometres next to Hat Bang Ben.
Hat Praphat or Hat Hin Thung (หาดประพาส หรือ หาดหินทุ่ง) is located at Mu 2 Tambon Kam Phuan. Similar to Hat Bang Ben, Hat Praphat is a large beach shaded by pine trees.
Ko Khangkhao (เกาะค้างคาว) is an island with fine sandy beaches and a gravel beach known as Hat Hin Ngam in the north.
Ko Kam Yai (เกาะกำใหญ่) is a scenic island with white sandy beaches almost all around.
Ko Kam Nui (เกาะกำนุ้ย) is not far from Ko Kam Yai with beaches on one side and many other nearby islets.
Khao Fa Chi (เขาฝาชี) So named because of its resemblance to a traditional Thai food cover, Fa Chi hill is located in Tambon Bang Kaeo. The hill provides an excellent vantage from which to see two rivers, the Kra Buri and the La-un, converge. Japanese soldiers used this area as a port, sending support to Burma during the Second World War.

HIDDEN STREET FOOD & MARKET | Hidden Thai Street Food & Market In Silom, Bangkok, Thailand
There is a hidden Thai Street Food & Market in Silom, Bangkok Thailand.
I happened to find this hidden street food & market after I wondered down SILOM 10.
Silom 10 is at the very end of Silom Rd near Naradhiwat Rajanagarindra Rd. It's on the less busier end of Silom Rd, where not much tourist go.
I'm guessing only locals would know about this place since it's hidden and tucked away from the main rd.
In this market, you will find clothes, accessories, shoes and of course Thai food. What would a market be without food?
It was empty at the time I was there, but I'm sure when lunchtime comes, this place would be packed out. It would be interesting to see how busy it gets.
They have plenty of seats around, but I assure you, that you will still have trouble finding a seat during the lunchtime rush.
Be sure to check this place out, if you are in the Silom area. Come before or after lunch if you want to escape the lunchtime rush.
LOCATION:
Silom 10, off Silom Rd.
HOW TO GET THERE
1. Take the BTS Skytrain to CHONG NONSI BTS Station.
2. Walk towards SILOM RD
3. When you are at SILOM RD, cross over the road & TURN RIGHT. You should be walking in the same direction as the cars.
4. SILOM 10, should be 2nd or 3rd Laneway on your LEFT-HAND SIDE.
Good luck & safe travels.
