Kramfors is a locality and the seat of Kramfors Municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden. It had a population of 5,990 inhabitants in 2010.The town grew on the western bank of the Ångerman River in the 19th century as harvested logs were floated downriver to be processed at local sawmills and pulp mills. Christopher Kramm introduced the river's first steam-driven saw, naming it after himself. The name of the town in turn derives from his name and the word fors . The Sandö Bridge is a concrete arch bridge crossing the Ångerman River in Kramfors Municipality in northern Sweden. It has a free span of 264 meters and is 42 meters above the water. The surrounding area is often referred to as The High Coast. During the construction, the bridge collapsed on 31 August 1939, and 18 workers were killed. This accident was given little attention by the press, since World War II started the morning after. The bridge was opened on 16 July 1943. Until 1964, it was the largest concrete arch in the world. It was renovated after 1997 and reopened in 2003. Skuleskogen National Park is a Swedish national park in Västernorrland County, on the coast of the Baltic Sea, in northern Sweden. It covers 30.62 kilometres , constituting the eastern part of the Forest of Skule. The park is characterized by a very rough topology with many rocky peaks, of which the highest is Slåttdalsberget, 280 metres in altitude, rising directly from the sea. The topography is also marked by the presence of deep crevasses and caves. This particular topology can be found throughout the entire High Coast , a region of Sweden so named because it constitutes the highest section of the coast of the Baltic Sea. The High Coast Bridge is a suspension bridge crossing the mouth of the river Ångermanälven near Veda, on the border between the Härnösand and Kramfors municipalities in the province of Ångermanland in northern Sweden. The area is often referred to as The High Coast, hence its name. The bridge replaces Sandöbron, the old bridge across the river, in a new extension of the European route E4. It is the third longest suspension bridge in Scandinavia , the fourth longest in Europe, and the 16th longest of the world.
