We took local transportation, ate Streetfood and visited local markets to get a real feeling for La Paz. It is one of these off the beaten path things you should do on your travels to experience a place off from the touristy things.
Moreover I was invited to do some rappel action in the middle of the center of La Paz: it is called Urban Rush and awaits you with a thrilling free fall after walking down a 50m Skyscraper - face first.
More options for things to do in La Paz?
What about biking down the death road - you can book the tours in the center e.g. with Gravity. See more about this option in another video I produced about this thrilling experience:

La Paz - Bolivia - The sights of this beautiful city
The city of La Paz is seat of the government of Bolivia. With a height of 3200-4100 m, the city is the highest seat of government of the world. Next to La Paz is El Alto located on the high plateau. The two cities have about 2 million inhabitants.
The main city square is called Plaza Murillo with Parliament House, Presidential Palace, and Cathedral.
The Calle Linares is famous for its offered llama fetuses, which serve as an offering to Pachamama, mother earth. For this reason, this area is also called Mercado de las brujas, the Witches' Market.
At the lower end of the town is an attraction for the population of La Paz and the tourists. The bizarre rock formations of Valle de la Luna, which looks like a lunar landscape.

La Paz Bolivia - An Experience We’ll Never Forget! | 85+ Countries w/3 kids
Join us for our wild adventure through Bolivia and our time in La Paz.
La Paz is known as “Nuestra Señora de La Paz” (Our Lady of Peace) and it is one of the two capital cities in the country, the other one is Sucre.
Chaotic, crazy and full of contradictions, La Paz is the highest administrative capital in the world, resting on the Andes’ Altiplano plateau at more than 3,500m above sea level. Its airport, El Alto, is the highest international airport and the fifth highest commercial airport in the world.
La Paz’ steep cobblestone streets and high altitude left us gasping for oxygen not because of its beautiful sights but because of the city’s thin air. Headaches and feeling extremely dehydrated were just some of the side effects of our visit.
However, believe us when we say that we are not complaining and that we had a great time. We got to see one of La Paz's most famous attractions that was formerly known as the ‘World’s Most Dangerous Road’ or Death Road and we got to drink coca tea for help with the altitude.
Enjoy the video and let us know where you’re watching from!
