Let go and let Québec take over | QuébecOriginal
What if we invited you to let go?
Québec invited five busy, connected people to let go and fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the land and culture. They had to leave their daily distractions and surrender to experiencing Québec, open and unfiltered. From vibrant cities to larger-than-life landscapes, electrifying festivals to outdoor adventures, their journeys included unique and surprising moments that connected them with the place and its people.
Take a cue from our guests and let Québec get under your skin:

Though in the Eure département of France, Vernon is close to borders of both the Yvelines and the Val d'Oise départements. Driving through the region known as the Vexin to the West of Paris (and a bit North as it becomes Normandy) is really beautiful. Vernon is roughly an hour and a half drive from Paris. I'd spent the morning in Giverny to see the famous Monet house, gardens and lily pond, and his family tomb, on my second visit to that village since I moved to France in '94 from the United States, but Vernon was the choice for lunch not only because it's larger than Giverny and has more options, but because it has a beautiful old church and a great deal of very old buildings, near the River Seine.
I saw an alarmingly high water mark noted on the church -- just about a hundred years ago, it seemed. (It was up high and hard to read.) Floods do happen.
The MIEL D'APICULTEUR means a beekeeper sells honey -- probably from his or her home, as well as in farmers' markets or co-ops there and in the area.
It was an interesting, very green daytrip from Paris, ending with a visit to a troglodyte church in Haute-Isle in Val d'Oise.
I like the way the half-timbered buildings are now at crazy angles. Sometimes walls tilt or bulge alarmingly. There are still thatched roofs in this region and other regions in France.
Intoxicating Montréal - 50 Ans Metro Anniversary 1080p
Another Trainluvr Classic - Presenting my best shots taken during a two-day stay in Montreal. For mood, there is a killer sitar freakbeat song from 1969 (lyrics at end of video).
In the mid 1960s, just past the depths of stagnation for US rapid transit development, Montreal gave the world a vision of the future of Rapid Transit. The original cars from 1966 are all still in service, now being replaced by a new generation of cars on par with the world's best found in Stockholm and Munich. This Metro is the third busiest in North America.
Imagine the intoxicating excitement of Montrealers in 1967 riding their new state of the art Metro to the The World's Fair, Expo 67. I have included shots of the Expo Express, a temporary heavy rapid transit line that extended over 5 kilometers and operated until 1971.
The new Azur cars are non-airconditioned (the cabs have A/C), will replace the 1966 cars and increase fleet size. The rubber tires enable rapid accelleration (over 3 MPH per second) and climbing of grades up to 6%. The narrow car bodies allow two tracks to fit in a single bore tunnel, lowering construction costs. Extensions are planned, which include the possibility of joining the ends of the orange line to form a large circle, like the JR in Tokyo.
Montreal is a very affordable city, with most of the amenities one would find here in New York. its clean and people don't block or hold the trains doors.
La queue de la tour de la terreur !
Magnifique attraction
Montmartre: classic sites and hidden treasures _ france
Montmartre, the village where Renoir, Suzanne Valadon, Utrillo and Picasso all lived and painted, is the Paris of postcards. Join us for a stroll which includes the 'classic must-see' sites, but also reveals a hidden side of the neighbourhood which is quite endearing.

Bélize, comment sauver le corail ? (reportage complet)
