Newfoundland was our first province on the Road to 150 project. We experienced icebergs, fjords, the Earth's mantle, whales, kitchen parties, and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. But most of all, we fell in the love with people, which is a big part of what makes Newfoundland so special.
Canada's Road to 150 is a 150-day Canada-wide multimedia road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We will drive to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim is to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.

Trans-Labrador Highway: (Day 6/6) Labrador City to Quebec.
Season 1 Episode 162 (September 15th 2016): leaving Labrador and driving thru rural Quebec. Drove past world's largest visible meteor crater (Manicouagan Crater) that crashed here 215 million years ago in the Triassic period. Also saw the Manic-5 dam, the world's largest multiple arch buttress dam before we ended up next to the St. Lawrence river in the town of Baie-Comeau, Quebec.

Starting in Deer Lake I went on a 8 day road trip to experience the highlights in the East of Newfoundland and the South of Labrador. The itinerary shown is the perfect option to experience the diversity of the Rock and the Big Land in one single trip.
Beside some hiking and a boat tour on the Western Brook Pond at the Gros Morne National Park I went on a whale and iceberg expedition at Battle Harbour, visited vikings in L'anse aux Meadows and went kayaking in Steady Brook.
All activities and things to do in Newfoundland and Labrador covered here are easy to access by car making it a perfect road trip where you spend each night at a different spot.
