Lahaska is an unincorporated community in central Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It lies just east of Buckingham and west of New Hope on Route 202 and Route 263. While most of it is in Buckingham Township, it also extends into Solebury Township. While the village has its own box Post Office with the ZIP code of 18931, surrounding areas use the Doylestown ZIP code of 18902 or the New Hope ZIP code of 18938. Lahaska is home to one of the most popular shopping areas in the region, Peddler's Village, as well as Buckingham Friends School, a private Quaker school for grades K-8. The Village of Valley Forge is an unincorporated settlement located on the west side of Valley Forge National Historical Park at the confluence of Valley Creek and the Schuylkill River in Pennsylvania, United States. The remaining village is in Schuylkill Township of Chester County, but once spanned Valley Creek into Montgomery County. Valentine's Weekend and Steam to Buckingham on the NH&I

It's a rare sight to see a steam locomotive running on US rails for Valentine's Day-themed trips - yet the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad is breaking that trend in 2018 - and adding a unique twist to some of their twists. For six days in February, their steam locomotive, Baldwin-built 2-8-0 #40, is pulling all of the trips, with a few dinner trains going further than their normal terminus at the run-around in Lahaska. These trips, called either Valentine's Dinner trips or Buckingham Valley trips (depending on whether you do just the ride or the dinner train), go to the Nonesuch Farm area in Buckingham Valley, very rare mileage for steam at New Hope. With a mix of overcast skies and rain coming, let's venture out to New Hope to catch steam action. These shots are presented in geographical order alongside the line - and the last shot is after sunset with very little blue light left in the sky at Nonesuch Farms itself - where we see #40 pushing the train instead of pulling in, as expected. Regardless, enjoy the sights and sounds of Valentine's Weekend and Steam to Buckingham on the NH&I!

Abandoned Railroad Equipment In Lambertville, NJ

A former Conrail hopper car & a Central Railroad of New Jersey coach located by the Delaware & Raritan Canal in Lambertville, NJ shortly before I left the area in Hunterdon County after visiting the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad across the river in PA. We'll even see the inside of the coach as well. Enjoy the sight of abandoned railroad rolling stock out of comission in HD.
