The famous ski resort located above the town is 1750 meters above sea level, where for only 4$ per person one can take the ropeway up to the mountain and back. In the summer, people go there to get away from the city life of Yerevan, and the heat, for the fresh air in the mountains.

VISIT ARMENIA - THINGS TO DO IN YEREVAN (Travel Vlog)
My first visit to Armenia and my first day in Yerevan, I explored the city, visiting the cascade, seeing the mother of Armenia statue located in victory park, then meeting a local that had just started a free walking tour company and was kind enough to show me around. I visited the flea market, saw a local playing the duduk instrument, I also had another try of Kvas... and liked it. Ending off the day at republic square watching the night time fountain show.

Travel Vlog Georgia Ushguli & Armenia Lake Sevan Dilijan Yerevan
After arriving in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, we drove to Lake Sevan, one of the largest lakes in the world. It stands out with its sweet and astonishingly blue water. Here we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of the beautiful lake and then visited Sevanavank Monastery which is situated on Sevan Peninsula. There are 2 monasteries actually; one of them is destroyed but the other stands still. They were built in the Middle Ages, around 10th century. We also visited Haghartsin monastery and toured around Dilijan. This trip was so wonderful and Yerevan was such a dazzling city at night. I also included some highlights from the fantasy voyage to Ushguli. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more!

Etchmiadzin-Vagharschapat (Armenia) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Etchmiadzin-Vagharschapat in Armenia.
The village of Etchmiadzin is the religious centre of Armenia. At the entrance to the village is Hripsime Church. Here the nun Hripsime died a martyrs‘ death. She fled with a group of nuns to Armenia from Roman Emperor, Diocletian. The Armenian king, Trdat saw the beautiful Hripsime, instantly fell in love with her, and wanted her as his wife. But the deeply religious young Christian woman rejected the pagan king and he therefore had thirty five nuns tortured and killed. Surrounded by an old cemetery is another domed basilica, that of Gajane Church that dates back to the seventh century. A small crypt was built for the tomb of Abbess Gajane who was executed together with the nun, Hripsime. In 630 A.D., Catholicos Jezr ordered the building of Gajane Church, the fine wall paintings and splendid religious stonemasonry of which make it a cultural treasure. In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries the interiors were redesigned by the Hovnatanjan Family of artists. Thus was created one of the few coloured churches in Armenia. The sacristy became the church museum with the ‘holy lance head’ of Roman soldier, Longinus, crosses and the famous right hands of the Catholicoi. Magnificent liturgical robes recall the importance of Etchmiadzin as being the religious centre of Armenia.
