The 10 Cheapest Places to Live in Australia.
Living in any of Australia’s capital cities is incredibly expensive. In Sydney, for example, house prices have surged past the $1 million mark after six consecutive months of declines. The median house price in the city was $1,021,968 during the second quarter of 2016 and, while it’s below last year’s record-breaking median house price of $1,032,899, it’s still far more than what the average person could afford.
Because of this, it’s advisable to look for a place to live outside capital cities, where rent and house prices are much cheaper but the quality of life is still decent enough for young professionals, growing families, and empty-nesters. We've compiled a list of the cheap places to live in Australia to help you choose the best area for yourself and your loved ones. These places are ranked not just by their housing prices but also according to their population, unemployment rate, and access to important services like healthcare and education.

O-Week at La Trobe University [AUSTRALIA episode 4]
My first full week in Melbourne was super busy! After everyone moved in we had a week of orientation events and college parties (o-week) to get used to our new university. They also had a concert at the end of the week (Oh! Fest) which a bunch of Aussie artists performed at. The headliner was Drapht (as an American I had no idea who he was but kids traveled hours from other parts of Victoria to come see him so he must be pretty legit haha). Besides events put on by the university, we also took this week to explore Melbourne more before we had classes to worry about. We went to our local uni bar for the first time (Stollies) and also got to experience White Night in the Melbourne CBD. During White Night, the city was lit up with lights, had free live bands and art, and was overly packed with people, keeping the city alive (and us out) all night long - it was a really cool experience. We also went to St Kilda Beach for the first time which was also a lot of fun!
Next video - Sydney!

Latrobe Pictorial
Latrobe is just a short drive from Devonport in Tasmania. It's well worth a visit and is one of Tasmania's most interesting towns. Latrobe also has the big Platypus and the Axeman's Hall Of Fame.
This is only part of the pictorial but you can see the lot at Australian Pictorials. All photos taken by John Boom. Presented by Australian Pictorials: australianpictorials.com

Great Ocean Road Trip Part 1: Devonport
We had been planning this road trip along the Great Ocean Road for some time. It had been on our bucket list for ages and the opportunity presented itself this year. We made a record of the journey and this episode features our day in Devonport and Latrobe as we waited to board the Spirit of Tasmania.
Even though we were not 'technically' on the Great Ocean Road we were definitely in holiday mode and really looking forward to seeing and doing as much as we could!
If you have any questions about any of the places you see or the things we do please leave them in the comments. We love to hear from our viewers!

Mt Baw Baw| Christmas in July |ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ കശ്മീർ|Malayalam Travel vlog by Binnichen Thomas
Mount Baw Baw is about 120 kilometres East of Melbourne and 50 km north of the Latrobe Valley. The mountain itself is one of several peaks on the Baw Baw Plateau, a long plateau tending north-east. Other peaks on the plateau include Mount Mueller, Mount Whitelaw, Mount St Phillack, Mount Tyers, Mount Kernot and Mount St Gwinear. The plateau itself is isolated from most of Victoria's high country by the Thomson and Aberfeldy rivers and tributaries of the La Trobe River, including the Tanjil and Tyers rivers to the south.
we enjoyed while in baw baw summit. We are planning to go next year as well. The mountain summit receives more annual precipitation than most places in mainland Australia and frequent snow in winter.
