Lamai Beach Koh Samui Thailand - Exploring Koh Samui South

Lamai Beach Koh Samui is the second largest beach on Koh Samui Thailand. This video explores south Koh Samui Island by motorbike including Lamai Beach as well as other smaller beaches, quieter beaches, secret gardens and the Best View Point in Samui.

The video starts with Crystal Bay Beach Koh Samui, then Lamai Beach which is the second largest beach on Koh Samui Thailand after Chaweng Beach (see my last video here: youtu.be/H0ioiK91Hz8 ). If you are looking for a quieter beach then Lipa Noi Beach may be the beach for you.

Driving between Lamai Beach and other beaches on Koh Samui and you may also discover, like I did, the Best View Point in Samui and the Tarnim Magic Garden also known as the Secret Buddha Garden.

Here we try to visit all the places you go to in Koh Samui on a budget. If an entrance fee is required we're not going to it lol. So far in part one of our video we visit 3 temples and talk about our day and experiences so far in Thailand.

Places visited in part one:

-Wat Sila Ngu
Wat Sila Ngu (aka Wat Ratcha Thammaram) is a Buddhist temple located along the Ring Road, 200m before Rocky’s Boutique Resort when heading toward Lamai. Sila Ngu translates into ‘stone snake’ in English, and you can see many stone-carved snakes all around the compound.

-Guan Yu Shrine
Guan Yu was a general serving under the warlord Liu Bei in the late Eastern Han dynasty. He played a significant role in the civil war that led to the collapse of the dynasty and the establishment of the state of Shu Han


-Wat Khunaram
Koh Samui’s Mummified Monk at Wat Khunaram is an unusual sight yet it offers a unique insight into Buddhist and Thai culture. The monk Luong Pordaeng died in 1973 in a seated meditative position, and ever since his body has been on display in an upright glass case at the temple.
