What's next for YouTube subscribers
Rest assured you subscribing and checking out the videos has always been a reason to celebrate every single one of you. But while the current archive will remain available for free, starting 2019, new full-length videos will be Patreon-only.
Since YouTube is working extremely hard to make it impossible for small channels with niche content to survive, Patreon is one of the few remaining ways to hopefully see at least some ROI on all the effort that goes into making these videos.
From getting hardware to planning and editing shoots, accommodation costs to gas, toll, repairs and taxes - these costs are adding up quickly. Most important of all, time is limited. These efforts have to start paying for themselves. Otherwise, there's no way this can continue, hence the current 8-season limit if the community-based goal isn't met in August 2020.
Shutting this down would be a shame. There's loads of great content in all kinds of gorgeous locations to share.

Touring The Pyrenees
Touring the Pyrenees via Barcelona with the fam, September 2015
Madrid to Pamplona by car: Spain country-side
A short video clip of the Spanish surrounds once you leave the busy Madrid behind. This was a 5 hour plus drive considering our stops in between and the major road works that we encountered on the E90 main way. We drove through (dry) Castilla y Leon, which is not only the largest region of Spain, but as well the largest region of all the European Union. The elevated plain is limited by the the mountain ranges Sistema Iberico to the east, Cordillera Central to the south, Cordillera Cantabrica to the north and by Duero river towards Portugal.
We cruised through beautiful La Rioja the wine region and into the breathtaking Navarre. You can see the mountain range of the Pyrenees in the north, with exceptional landscapes as the exemplaric Baztan valley; La Riviera in the south, a plain land with small lagoons and the fertile valley of Ebro river, and, inbetween, la Zona Media, with impressive landscapes and canyons as Hoces de Lumbier and Arbayun.
On our return trip we got lost half way to Barcelona but each detour was worthwhile until we arrived safely in Madrid again.
