Lilongwe Central & Crafts Market - Malawi, Africa
David's Been Here is in Malawi's capital of Lilongwe, where David tours the city's central market and crafts market. Walk around the tight quarters and crowded stalls selling everything from fruits to clothes, but make sure you bring a guide with you! David explains the semi-hectic scene of traversing the central market, which for some might be a bit overwhelming to experience. Heading off to the more subtle market of the two, David displays the various carvings, souvenirs and trinkets that you can pick up at the Lilongwe Crafts Market. With intricate masks, animals, globes and more being hand carved right in front of you, you shouldn't have a shortage of things to buy at this more touristic market of the two.

(EN) Table Mountain (Afrikaans: Tafelberg) is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa, and is featured in the Flag of Cape Town and other local government insignia.[2] It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top. The mountain forms part of the Table Mountain National Park. The view from the top of Table Mountain has been described as one of the most epic views in Africa.
(AF)Tafelberg is 'n berg in Suid-Afrika wat uitkyk bo-oor Kaapstad en sy omgewings. Dit het 'n kenmerkende plat bokant en is omtrent drie kilometer van punt tot punt.
As 'n mens suid oor die stad uitkyk na Tafelberg sien jy links (oos) die driehoekige Duiwelspiek (1 000 m) en regs die ronde Leeukop (669 m) en Seinheuwel. Dit is die noordelike punt van 'n reeks berge wat afstrek deur die lengte van die Kaapse Skiereiland. Die bokant word gereeld deur wolke bedek, bekend as die tafeldoek.
Die berg se hoogste punt is by Maclear se baken, en is 1 086 m (3 563 voet) bo seespieël. Hierdie punt is vernoem na die klipstapelbaken wat in 1865 deur Sir Thomas Maclear daar gebou is vir trigonometriese landmeting. Maclear se baken is nie veel van 'n piek nie — dit is die hoogste punt op die plato en slegs 19 m hoër as die kabelkar-stasie wat op 1 067 m is. 'n Berugte gevaarlike ligging is Carrel se lys, wat 'n ononderbroke val (aan die middel bo van die foto getoon) is, nie ver van Maclear se baken nie.
Tafelberg is ook in 'n unieke posisie deurdat dit die enigste aardskenmerk is wat sy naam aan 'n sterrebeeld ontleen: Mensa, wat die tafel beteken. Die berg word regop gesien in die Suidelike Halfrond, onder Orion, rondom middernag in middel Julie. Dit is vernoem deur die Franse sterrekundige Nicolas de Lacaille gedurende sy verblyf aan die Kaap in die middel 18de eeu.
