Coochiemudlo Island is a small island in the southern part of Moreton Bay, near Brisbane, in South East Queensland, Australia. It is also the name of the locality upon the island, but the town is officially called Coochie, both of which are within the local government area of Redland City.
History of Redland Bay (Brisbane):
The first settlers arrived in Redland Bay in the 1860s.
The Redland Bay Hotel was built about 1885.
The Redland Bay State School opened in 1886.
Electricity came to the Redland Bay township in March 1932.
A flying boat base operated at Redland Bay from 1953-1971.

This time we've caught fish and crabs!!!
We've decided to spend the Easter Sunday at Coochi Island this year, and aren't we glad we did. It was an awesome trip. The kids had fun and the adults caught fish for dinner. We'll definitely come back in the future.
