Alanya is a beach resort city and a component district of Antalya Province on the southern coast of Turkey, in the country's Mediterranean Region.
Because of its natural strategic position on a small peninsula into the Mediterranean Sea below the Taurus Mountains, Alanya has been a local stronghold for many Mediterranean-based empires, including the Ptolemaic, Seleucid, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires.
The Mediterranean climate, natural attractions, and historic heritage make Alanya a popular destination for tourism.
The town is divided east–west by a rocky peninsula, which is the distinctive feature of the city.
The city is nearly 99% Muslim, and although many ancient churches can be found in the district, there are no weekly Christian services.

Alanya is a huge resort with many attractions, every visitor will find something for themselves. The main attractions of the city stretching along the coast, we can find an amazing beach, majestically situated castle, an underground cave and a large port. The Cleopatra beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, is a wide, sandy and extends for several kilometers. Located at the foot of the mighty hills. High above, you can see the Seljuq fortress surrounded by an extensive system of fortifications. The city offers thousands of shops and restaurants. You will also find a lot of pubs and discos. There will, of course, Turkish bazaars. Alanya is a clean and well maintained resort. Personally, beyond the beach and a tour of the castle, I would recommend a cruise combined with jumps in the water and a disco in the foam.
Alanya jest sporym kurortem z licznymi atrakcjami, każdy turysta znajdzie tutaj coś dla siebie. Zadowolone będą zarówno rodziny z dziećmi, plażowicze jak i imprezowicze. Główne atrakcje miasta ciągną się wzdłuż wybrzeża, znajdziemy tu niesamowita plaża, majestatycznie położony zamek, podziemną grotę i duży port. Tutejsza plaża Kleopatry jest jedna z najpiękniejszych plaż w Europie, jest szeroka, piaszczysta i rozciąga się na kilka kilometrów. Położona jest u podnóża potężnego wzgórza leżącego na cyplu wysuniętym kilkaset metrów w morze. Wysoko w górze można dostrzec seldżucką twierdzę otoczoną rozbudowanym systemem murów obronnych. Miasto oferuje nie zliczą ilość sklepów i restauracji. Znajdziemy również sporo pubów i dyskotek. Nie zabraknie oczywiście turecki bazarów. Alanya to czysty i zadbany kurort, w którym na pewno nie będziecie się nudzić. Osobiście poza plażą i wycieczką na zamek, polecam rejs statkiem połączony ze skokami do wody i dyskoteką w pianie.

Alanya is a pretty town located on the coast of the Mediterranean sea and surrounded by high mountains, wide green meadows, plateaus and innumerable rivers.
This little town of the Mediterranean Coast possesses the typical climate of this region with 300 days of sunshine and temperatures rarely going below10 degrees in the winter.
Filled with the traces of history interspersed with wonderful views of nature, Alanya today, has become one of the most vibrant holiday resorts of Turkey. Its modern and cosmopolitan atmosphere are some of the reasons why many tourists from all around the world spends their holidays in Alanya all year round.
Tourists are drawn to the area because of reasonable prices, fantastic weather, sandy beaches, historic sites and fine cuisine. Beach activities in Alanya include wind surfing, parasailing, jet skiing, banana boating.
During winter tourists can alternate time between the beaches and then enjoy various winter sports including skiing, snowboarding, tracking on the Taurus Mountains.
Golf courses in Belek, which serve all year around are easily accessible. Nightclubs, bars, restaurants and live music venues all provide an exciting nightlife.
The tourist industry here is worth over 1.2 billion euros and Alanya is generating 10% of the tourism revenue in Turkey, but the area is also known for its many fruit farms, particularly lemons and oranges, and large harvests of tomatoes and cucumbers
There are flights all year to Antalya and Alanya is a 1 and ½ hour drive from the airport.
Flights from all the major cities of Turkey and Europe arrive at the international airport in Antalya (AYT) and new airport of Alanya Gazipasa (GZP).
VACATION in ALANYA, TURKEY
Taken during our 5 day vacation in Alanya, Turkey. We stayed in GLORIA SERENITY RESORT, one of the best resorts in the area. The resort is so huge where you have everything in one place. The view and the food was great. Great place to relax and spoil yourselv. My favorite was the spa and the turkish bath..
Longing to come back soon and indulge my selv having fresh juices served all day round.
