ARGENTINA: EXPLORING JUJUY - PURMAMARCA TO HUMAHUACA - TRIP & ITINERARY
JUJUY || PURMAMARCA || HILL OF SEVEN COLORS (Cerro de los Siete Colores) || MAIMARÁ || PAINTER'S PALETTE || HUMAHUACA || SERRANÍA DE HORNOCAL
After our journey from Salta, we spent the night in Purmamarca and decided to climb the mountain early morning to see the town from above, and witness the beautiful Hill of Seven Colors. It was so worth the climb!... It was magnificent! Little did we know, it was only the beginning...
As we traveled further north towards Humahuaca, we stopped at a little town called Maimara where the backdrop of a mountain called the Painter's Palette looked... like a painters pallet! The colours were numerous, vivid and beautiful.. OMG! we thought, this was even better than the last one!
It can't get any better than this, we thought...
But wait! Our jaw literary dropped as we drove closer and got a glimpse of el Hornocal. Is this real!?? Seriously, the most spectacular view we have ever seen! The multicolored mountains in Jujuy took our breath away...

ARGENTINA: EXPLORING SALTA AND JUJUY TRIP AND ITINERARY
SALTA || JUJUY || SAN ANTONIO DE CABRAL || SALINAS GRANDE || PURMAMARCA || SEVEN COLOURS HILL
Salta!!
What a great city... one of our favourites. A smaller city than Buenos Aires, Salta is picturesque with it's architecture, and is known for it's empanadas and beer. There's even a beer simply called Salta!
The locals in Salta are friendly and didn't mind that we can't speak Spanish. We explored the city and booked a two day tour around Jujuy- going around Purmamarca and Humahuaca.
Some highlights include the Salinas Grande salt flat, and the colourful markets with local artisanos in Purmamarca.
We traveled up to 4000+ meters above sea level and took in the beautiful desert view.
Argentina is a big country with lots to offer, and Salta is an absolute must! If you are travelling to Argentina, we would recommend checking out its Northern part 10/10!
Watch our next vlog as we continue north, and explore the multicolored mountain range in Jujuy (Hill of Seven Colors, Maimara, and el Hornocal):
Don't hesitate to give us a shout if you have any questions about travelling in Argentina.

Visiting Salta & Tilcara in the North of Argentina
Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy Argentina
Located in Argentinas northernmost province of Jujuy, the Quebrada de Humahuaca is a stunning multi-colored canyon which runs 200km and is dotted with tiny colonial villages. The first town we visited in this region was Purmamarca, which boasts the Cerro de Siete Colores (Hill of 7 Colors). We then spent some time exploring the mountains and canyons around Tilcara, the largest town in the Quebrada. We continued north towards Bolivia to the town of Humahuaca. Here is the oldest mechanical clock in South America.
