Best of Exuma Bahamas
Video by Greg “Gravy” and Carley. This is our first attempt at a quality Youtube travel video on the beautiful island of Exuma on our honeymoon.
We were inspired by all the great videos on Youtube and wanted to start creating our own so we could relive our vacations when we are old and gray.
We tried to get an accurate display of everything you can do on this island in one video. We wanted to share our experience and we plan to add a lot more videos in the future, so please like and subscribe.
If anyone wants to know, here is a list of the activities and places in order. And if you have any questions, leave a comment below.

The Most Beautiful Beach in the Abacos! - ShaggySeas Ep. 40
This week, we go to Nippers’ Beach to do some free diving, beach exploring, and then sail to our next anchorage.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast with Shaun and Abby on Sailing Vessel Breeze, we packed up our snorkel gear and headed to Grabbers Beach Bar to land the dinghy and walk to Nippers’ Beach. Nippers is a brightly colored beach bar with the most amazing beach access. John and Shaun went free diving off the beach and saw a sea turtle, squid, shark, and lots of different fish. Julie and Abby enjoyed time sunbathing and strolling along the beach with the dogs. Nippers beach at Guana Cay has become one of our favorite beaches of the Abacos. With miles of clean white sand, perfect blue water, and beautiful reefs within swimming distance, it has it all. On our way back to the boats, Shaun spotted some friends, so we stopped by their catamaran and spent the afternoon sharing cruising stories. The next morning, we set sail to Bakers Bay with just enough wind to push us along at a nice, leisurely pace. Although a bit rolly from boat traffic, it was a nice anchorage with beautiful, turquoise water.
Who is ShaggySeas?
We are traveling by sailboat with our two dogs and release weekly video episodes / sailing vlogs to share the travel adventure with you!
We've been documenting our journey as we sold everything we owned, bought a sailboat, learned about sailing, learned how to do our own boat repairs, and gained experience cruising. Join us to get an insider view of life as a live aboard cruiser and for weekly episodes of our travels.

Living on a Powerboat in Exuma Bahamas, It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!
Searching for C-Shels Season 3 Episode 6. In this episode we finally arrive in the beautiful Exumas where we begin to explore the area around Highbourne Cay. We feed some beach Godzillas on Allens and Leaf Cay, get our first taste of the Exumas underwater, and squeeze into one of the most beautiful anchorages we have ever seen, surrounded by sandbars and turquoise water in Norman's Pond at Normans Cay. Shel also shows you the wrong way to scrub clean the bottom of your dinghy in the tropics.
Events in this video took place Spring 2018.

We are a travel couple, looking for a non mainstream life of living aboard a boat and cruising in the Caribbean/Bahamas in Winter, and the Great Lakes in Summer. Working when we can to fill the cruising kitty. We have sold everything we own, and we now own a cruising yacht. We have chosen to do this voyaging under power, instead of the popular sailing route.
Our mission is to help inspire people to live their dreams earlier in life, instead of waiting until retirement. So often retirement dreams are dashed by health issues, or other unforeseen later life circumstances. If you have a dream, then dream, plan, and do it now. We hope to make you smile, and spark the urning in your heart for fulfilling your dreams.

On Top of the World and an Approaching Storm - Exploring Hope Town - Abaco Bahamas
We explore The lovely Hope Town in the Abacos, Bahamas. Hope Town is a small touristy resort village on the north end of Elbow Cay in the Abacos. You can spot it by the famous candy striped Elbow Reef lighthouse, probably the most recognizable landmark in the Abacos. Hope Town is not a tourist trap type of destination. The resorts are small, the town is kept clean, the houses are colourful, the shops quaint and the eateries decent. There are very little cars on the island, and you are not allowed in town with the golf carts, only bikes allowed. It makes for a beautiful relaxed walk as you visit the stores and just take in the sights. It is a very popular spot with the cruisers and when we first arrived the mooring field was completely full. We managed to get one the next day, but as you will see in the next episode, we wish we didn't take that mooring.
