1. Taste local Rum - Visit Toppers Rhum Factory. toppersrhum.com/
2. Visit Nectar of St. Maarten for natural / organic skin care, protection and bug repellent. These products are sold throughout the islands and are amazing!!
3. Party - Come during Carnival and experience J'ouvert and party with the locals.
4. Watch the sunset – It is absolutely gorgeous, especially at Divi Little Bay -
5. Stroll in Philipsburg and visit Guavaberry Emporium -
6. Ride in a water UFO - An Unbelievably fun object..
7. Go shopping at the Marigot Market on the French side
8. Visit Loterie Farm in the hills of Pic Paradis to be surrounded by nature as you zipline, party or relax by the pool.
9. Visit Orient Beach - It's on the French side and is the most popular beach on the island. It is also home to Club Orient which is a clothing optional beach resort.
10. Watch the extreme airport landings from Maho Beach. Schedule some time before your flight home to experience this.

Every excursion with Celebrity Cruises is amazing, but if you are a foodie like me the Flavours of Marigot in St. Maarten is not to be missed!
We started off shopping for fish with the Executive Chef at the local fish market at Simpson Bay Lagoon. How crazy is the tool they used to clean the fish! As you can tell from our reaction, this is wildly entertaining!
Then we enjoyed a cooking demonstration at Butterfish. I'm still dreaming of that fresh ceviche and johnnycake.
Next we drove to Marigot, the French capital, and browsed the lively Caribbean market. I loved taking in all the spices, herbs, and fresh produce. There are tons of cute shops to buy souvenirs. And that Nutmeg spray really works!
Finally we headed to the French Gourmet Capital of the Caribbean, Grand Case. And as you can tell from the video it is like living in a postcard! The meal at Ocean 82 by the Sea was delicious. And the homemade ginger rum was the perfect way to end a spectacular day!

Marigot Farmer's Market St Maarten Sint Maarten
A visit to St. Maarten is not complete without a trip to Marigot and the Farmer's Market. Stalls manned by locals selling fruit and vegetables, spices, local meats and fresh fish caught that day are housed under a mass of open Creole huts along the water front. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, clothing and souvenir sellers join the mix.
