Things to Explore in Mazatlan, Mexico
Sometimes my favorite days of travels are the unplanned ones. The ones for which I have almost no expectations and so every minute exceeds them. This was Mazatlan. It started out a bit bumpy because we ventured off in the wrong direction and walked for a very long time, but once we found our footing I loved the arts and architecture and look and feel of this place more than most cruise ports. We also found the Mazatlan Aquarium where most things were in Spanish (surprise) and not really geared towards tourist from outside of Mexico, but you don't need a translation on a sea lion being super clever and awesome.

All in all, a great stop as far as port options go if you're looking at cruising the Pacific Coast of central America.

Many expats are increasingly considering Mexico as a destination, seeking a relaxed lifestyle in the sunshine.
