What made me smile from the moment I started to land in South Carolina was the sheer amount of expansive green I could see below me. There have been very few states I have visited that can rival that of the English countryside, but South Carolina is one. I was lucky to visit numerous state parks, gardens and golf courses on my trip, as well as beautiful beaches, marshes and historic homes and buildings. I also got to eat some delicious food from some of the top fine-dining restaurants and some great local favourites such as shrimp and grits and boiled peanuts.

Good Living Marketplace in Hartsville South Carolina ~ March, 2009

The Good Living Marketplace this month was great fun in Hartsville, SC! The Marketplace is held the first Saturday of the month from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm in Cargill Way (10:00am in the colder winter months!) and this month featured 62 vendors, Artists of the Cotton Trail, a Hula Hoop contest winner with 1500 revolutions, pet adoptions from the Darlington County Humane Society, delicious food and temperatures that soared to 80 degrees.
