East Fork Falls (4K)- LET IT RAIN! Northern California Waterfalls North Fork American River- 2019

Thanksgiving Day, 2018. A very wet and fun day hike to East Fork Falls on the East Fork North Fork North Fork American River, in Tahoe National Forest, Emigrant Gap. On Thanksgiving we had our first (long overdue) substantial rain/snow storm in California. Of course the waterfall madman was out getting wet and hiking to waterfalls! East Fork Falls is a hidden gem on the EFNFNFAR, and getting to it in the rain and higher water was not only wet, but quite tricky!

Hiking Half Dome, Yosemite National Park, USA in 4K (Ultra HD)

Long day hike to the top of Half Dome, Yosemite National Park, with outstanding views of Vernal and Nevada Falls, Half Dome, Yosemite Valley and the High Sierra.
The trail is 14 mi/22.4 km long (round trip, via Vernal and Nevada Falls), elevation gain 4800 ft/1475 m. Two metal cables allow hikers to climb the last 400 feet to the summit.

It was another amazing day! It started off with a full hike of the Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico.

Later, the day ended in disappointment as it was way too stormy to explore White Sands Monument.
