Streets of Africa. N'djamena, Chad
Few street impressions from my short visit to the capital of Chad - N'djamena. It also includes some pictures from the Great Market (Grand Marche)
i almost died today. Twice
The past few days in N'Djamena, Chad have been the worst days of my entire life and I've had a miserable time here. Never in my life have I been more scared, threatened or attacked (both verbally and physically) than in this hot, dusty, beaten-down deserted city. I was in a disastrous police chase on a motorbike and I also was attacked by a dozen people for taking 1 photo inside a mini bus. I apologize for the lack of posting lately - I've had no access to wifi until now and I'm still shaken up by what has happened to me.
If it wasn't for my 6'6'' local friend (AKA Bodyguard), then I'm not sure I'd be alive right now. This is not a joke, this is serious.
The lesson learned has been learned on my end to always ask before taking a photo of anyone, but it was uncalled for these people to attack me like they did. I will end this post by saying that I do not hate Chad (as a whole) and I realize that unlucky situations can make or break your experience in any country. But it's safe to say that I will not be coming back to Chad anytime soon.

Nobody Knows About This Place!! (ANGOLA)
The next 6 days of my life are going to be amazing, as I take you inside the hidden country of ANGOLA!
Angola has notoriously been known for being one of the most difficult African countries to visit, as it was nearly impossible to get a tourist visa. But a few months ago, they released an online e-visa to Angola and now it's easier than it's ever been to get inside.
I have spent the last few days in Angola's capital city of Luanda with a social media friend, José, and WOW, this place is bizarre and eye-opening. Everywhere you looks is something different. Angola is full of contrasts and surprises.
This video will give you a sneak peak of what's to come in the next week in Angola. Who's excited?!

I Didn't Plan to Come Here... (Country #150)
Today I woke up thinking I was flying from Chad to Mali. But due to an unexpected flight cancellation (on my 2nd leg), I was left in Lomé, Togo for 24 hours. I definitely wasn't mad about it because it means that I have the chance to explore a new place! It's country #150 and also my very first time in West Africa.
Here's what I discovered over 24 hours in Togo. Have you ever been before?

The Most Empty Country?!
DID YOU KNOW that Namibia is the world's second least densely populated country, behind only Mongolia? Only 2 million people live in a landmass that's twice the size of California! I bet you never knew what's the world's most empty country until now!
Namibia is truly an amazing place and I'm loving every second of being here. There are so many stories to tell, I am just trying my best to pick the best ones!
Learn more about my Namibian discoveries in this video :) Huge thanks to my friends at G Adventures for putting on this amazing trip!!

Chad - Tibesti Expedition 2015
Please visit my site for the full story
I’ve put together some video for you of my recent expedition to one of the Sahara’s most remote corners. Only one previous expedition has reached the Ouri plain. That was about 15 years ago. And given the difficulties, I can’t see anyone else trying it anytime soon.
3 Ways I'm Preparing for Central/West AFRICA
TOMORROW, I'm leaving for a massive trip around Central and West Africa to 9 countries -- Namibia, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, Mali & Mauritania.
This trip to Africa has been VERY challenging to plan, tedious to get visas for (5 countries), and extremely expensive to book flights & hotels ($15K+ out of pocket) -- but it's going to be a trip of a lifetime and I CAN'T WAIT to show you places that you've probably never heard of before.
Safety is my biggest concern on this trip, as most of these countries aren't built for tourism and I am going in with all of my camera gear, etc -- so I decided to make this video, which explains 3 ways I am keeping myself safe!
Are you ready to see brand new content from Central/West Africa? Here we gooooooooooo!
Thanks to Booking.com for supporting this video. If you want to score the cheapest hotel deals online, use this link to book --
