Phrae - The peaceful Lanna town and its Palace of Torture.
Phrae isn't exactly a bustling metropolis. There are less than
half a million people in the whole province. But there's a lot of
history. It was established in the 7th century. It was ruled by the
Khmers from present-day Cambodia between the 10th and 11th c
enturies. And it became part of the Northern Thai Kingdom of Lanna, or a Million Rice Fields, in 1443.

เที่ยวเมืองน่าน ในม่านหมอก,tour Nan Province,North of Thailand
Welcome to Nan Province
Tucked into Thailand’s northeastern corner, Nan is a remote province to be explored for its natural beauty. Nan’s ethnic groups are another highlight and differ significantly from those in other northern provinces. Outside the Mae Nam Nan Valley, the predominant hill tribes are Mien, with smaller numbers of Hmong, while dispersed throughout Nan are four lesser-known groups seldom seen outside this province: the Thai Lü, Mabri, Htin and Khamu.
Nan (Thai: น่าน, pronounced [nâːn]) is one of the northern provinces (changwat) of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from south clockwise): Uttaradit, Phrae, and Phayao. To the north and east it borders: Sainyabuli of Laos.
One day Bangkok 2013, Thailand
Bangkok is the capital and the most populous city of Thailand. It is known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon or simply Krung Thep (help·info). The city occupies 1,568.7 square kilometres in the Chao Phraya River delta in Central Thailand, and has a population of over eight million, or 12.6 percent of the country's population. Over fourteen million people (22.2 percent) live within the surrounding Bangkok Metropolitan Region, making Bangkok an extreme primate city, dwarfing Thailand's other urban centres in terms of importance.
Although much diminished from their past prominence, water-based transport still plays an important role in Bangkok and the immediate upstream and downstream provinces. Several water buses serve commuters daily. The Chao Phraya Express Boat carries passengers along the river, regularly serving thirty-four stops from Rat Burana to Nonthaburi and carrying an average of 35,586 passengers per day in 2010. The smaller Khlong Saen Saep boat service serves twenty-seven stops from Wat Si Bun Rueang to Phan Fa Lilat on Saen Saep Canal, and another service serves thirteen stops on Khlong Phra Khanong. They served a daily average of 57,557 and 721 passengers, respectively. Long-tail boats operate on fifteen regular routes on the Chao Phraya, with an average of 2,889 passengers per day. Passenger ferries at thirty-two river crossings served an average of 136,927 daily passengers in 2010.
We used the ferry, the long-tail boat and a speed-rocket-boat.
We visited a temple: Wat Sao Thong Hin
As one of the most unique restaurants in Metropolitan Bangkok, the Cabbages & Condoms (C&C) Restaurant has attracted international attention. Conveniently located near one of Bangkok's main business districts, C&C is very popular among local and foreign clients.
We have had our last dinner together on this roundtrip trough Indochina. We can recommend it. Good food and it is guaranteed not to cause pregnancy.
