Narayanganj District is a district in central Bangladesh, part of the Dhaka Division.[1] The anicient city of Sonargan is in Naryanganj . Its located in the bank of Meghna and Shytolkha River . The main centre of the disatrict is Naryanganj City .
Its adjuncts with is capital city of Dhaka. Narayanganj is one of the oldest industrial District of Bangladesh. It is also a center of business and industry, especially the jute trade and processing plants, and the textile sector of the country. It is nicknamed the Dundee of Bangladesh due to the presence of many jute mills. Dundee was the first industrialised Juteopolis in the world.(Courtesy wikipidia)

The ancient city of Sonargaon was the capital of Isa Khan, a medieval ruler of Bengal. Sonargaon is also famous for producing muslin, a delicate and fine cloth made from cotton. Old Dhaka (in Bengali, পুরান ঢাকা ) is a term used to refer to the historic old city of Dhaka, the capital of modern Bangladesh.
It was founded in 1608 as Jahangir Nagar, the capital of Mughal Bengal. It was one of the largest and most prosperous cities of South Asia and the center of the worldwide muslin trade.
The Nawab of Bengal shifted the capital from Dhaka to Murshidabad in the early-18th century.
With the rise of Calcutta (now Kolkata) during the British rule, Dhaka began to decline and came to be known as the City of Magnificent Ruins. The British however began to develop the modern city from the mid-19th century.
Old Dhaka is famous for its variety of foods and amicable living of all religion people together.
The main Muslims festival here is Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha and Muharram, Hindu festivals are Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja, Holi, Rathyatra and Janmashtami, Christian festival Christmas and Easter Sunday, and Buddhist Festival is Vesak.
The all religion festival here is Shakrain(পৌষ সংক্রান্তি)and Halkhata(হালখাতা) with much splendor and devotion in this part of Dhaka.

It is located in Daudkandi union of Rupganj Upazila. The park is situated with the total area of about 150 acres. There are about 10 thousand trees are inside the park with 250 different species. The park is featured with 5 lakes/ponds, paddle boating, tree houses, banglows, restaurant, mosque etc. The place is getting popular day by day because of its calm environment. It’s a place far from the crowd and noise.The distance of Zinda park from Dhaka is about 37 km. The convenient route is through Kuril 300 feet road (Purbachal highway). You can go Zinda park by bus. The route is from Dhaka through Kachpur bridge via Bhulta-Gausia. Another route is through Tongi Mirer Bazar via by-pass road.

ঢাকাতে সময় কাটানোর মতো অনেক পার্ক আছে,তবে নোংরামি ও অশ্লীলতার কারনে পার্কগুলোতে যেতে এখন মানুষের ভয় করে ৷ ঢাকার যানযট, কোলাহল থেকে কিছুক্ষনের জন্য মুক্তি পেতে হলে ঘুড়ে আসা উচিত জিন্দা পার্ক থেকে৷ অসাধারন স্থাপত্যশৈলীর ব্যাবহার ফুটিয়ে তোলা হয়েছে পার্কটিতে৷ পার্কটি কোন সরকারি উদ্যাগের ফসল নয়। আবার কোন বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের নির্মাণও নয়। পার্কটি তৈরী হয়েছে এলাকাবাসীর স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণ এবং তাদের প্রাণান্ত অংশগ্রহনের মাধ্যমে। এলাকার ৫০০০ সদস্য নিয়ে “অগ্রপথিক পল্লী সমিতি” ১৯৮০ সালে যাত্রা শুরু করে। এ দীর্ঘ ৩৫ বছরের অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম আর ত্যাগের ফসল এই পার্কটি। এ রকম মহাউদ্দেশ্য, এত লোকের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহন এবং ত্যাগ স্বীকারের উদাহারণ খুব কমই দেখা যায়। অপস ক্যাবিনেট, অপস সংসদ এবং অপস কমিশন নামে পার্কটিতে ৩টি পরিচালনা পর্ষদ রয়েছে। বর্তমানে জিন্দা গ্রামটিকে একটি আদর্শ গ্রাম ও বলা হয়৷
পার্কটির অবস্থান নারায়ণগঞ্জের রূপগঞ্জে। ১৫০ এখর জায়গা জুড়ে এটি বিস্তৃত। ২৫০ প্রজাতির ১০ হাজারের বেশী গাছ-গাছালী আছে পার্কটিতে। গাছের এই সমারোহ এর পরিবেশকে করেছে শান্তিময় সবুজ, কলকাকলীতে মুখর করেছে অসংখ্য পাখীরা। শীতল আবেশ এনেছে ৫ টি সুবিশাল জলাধার। তাই গরম যতই হোক পার্কের পরিবেশ আপনাকে দেবে শান্তির ছোঁয়া।
ফ্যামিলি পিকনিকের জন্য জিন্দা পার্ক এখন বেশ পরিচিত জায়গা। কাঠের ব্রিজ পার হয়ে দিঘির মাঝামাঝি তৈরি করা বাঁশের টি রুমে বসে প্রিয়জনের সঙ্গে এক কাপ চা কিংবা জলে পা ডুবিয়ে বসে থাকার সময়গুলো দারুণ উপভোগ করবেন। সঙ্গে গাড়ি না থাকলেও সমস্যা নেই। বাড়ি ফেরার জন্য পার্কের সামনেই পাবেন গাড়ি, সিএনজি। আর হ্যাঁ, পিকনিক করতে চাইলে দু-তিন দিন আগেই যোগাযোগ করুন। পিকনিকের খাবারের ব্যবস্থা পার্ক কর্তৃপক্ষই করে।

জিন্দা পার্ক কিভাবে যাবেনঃ
ঢাকা থেকে জিন্দা পার্কের দূরত্ব ৩৭ কিঃ মিঃ। ঢাকা থেকে বাস যোগে কাঁচপুর ব্রীজ হয়ে ভূলতা গাওছিয়া হয়ে বাইপাস দিয়ে কাঞ্চন ব্রীজ হয়ে জিন্দা পার্কে আসা যায়। কাঞ্চন ব্রীজ থেকে ৫ মিনিটের হাটার পথ৷ অথবা ঢাকা হতে টঙ্গী মিরের বাজার হয়ে বাইপাস রাস্তা দিয়ে জিন্দা পার্ক আসা যায়, টঙ্গী হতে জিন্দা পার্কের দূরত্ব ২৮ কিঃ মিঃ। সহজ হবে কুড়িল বিশ্বরোড এর পুর্বাচল হাইওয়ে দিয়ে গেলে৷ লেগুনা তে জিন্দা পার্ক ৩০ টাকা নিবে ৷
