Awarradam - Suriname
In deze korte film krijgt u een impressie van Awarradam. De film maakt onderdeel uit van de één uur durende dvd “Suriname an exciting part of the Amazon”. Met de vele highlights die in deze film aan bod komen, kunt u zich uitstekend oriënteren op uw verblijf in Suriname.
Awarradam of ‘Awaadan’ zoals de lokale mensen dit uitspreken, ligt ongeveer 225 km van Paramaribo verwijderd en is behalve per boot ook te bereiken per binnenlandse vlucht. De vlucht gaat over het amazone woud. Na ongeveer 45 minuten land u in op het vliegveldje (ook wel air strip genoemd) van het dorpje Kajana. Na aankomst reist u ongeveer 30 minuten per korjaal verder naar het vakantieoord Awarradam. Na een warm ontvangst wordt u begeleid naar uw logeer accommodatie. U geniet meteen van een buitengewoon relaxte sfeer, waarbij de geluiden uit de natuur u het meest zullen intrigeren. Het uitzicht vanuit uw balkonnetje zullen idyllische beelden opleveren en een blijvende indruk op u maken.
Awarradam is een gebied van stroomversnellingen. Deze bruisende stroomversnellingen bezorgen u een natuurlijke massage waarna u zich ontspannen en herboren zult voelen. Na een enerverende reisdag is het tijd voor de inwendige mens. U kunt met een gerust hart aanschuiven want het keukenpersoneel staat bekend om de vele culinaire verrassingen. Smakelijk eten!

Bent u een goede zwemmer en heeft u behoefte aan een uitdaging, dan kunt u zich, op aanwijzingen van uw gids, een eindje u laten meeslepen door het kolkende water.
